Ariana Grande is booked and busy. From releasing hit after hit, to being one of the newest coaches on The Voice, to starring in the upcoming film Don’t Look Up, the “34+35” singer always has a new endeavour up her sleeve. Now she’s launching a beauty brand, r.e.m. beauty, and she can add soon-to-be makeup mogul to her stacked resume.
The Grammy winner opened up to Allure about working on the line for the last two years and keeping it on the DL: “Coveting the secret for the past two years and having testers and samplers in my purse, and people asking me, ‘Oh, I love your highlight, what are you wearing?’ And me being like, ‘I don’t know,’ sweating. It was so hard to keep a secret for this long,” she said.

Last month, an Instagram account and website for r.e.m. beauty appeared, leaving many fans thinking Grande was planning something around the song of the same name from her album Sweetener. Now that the secret is out, she’s dropping hints about the products that will soon be available.

The first product coming out will be focused on eye makeup, because eyes are “our main gateways to our dreams, our emotions, our everything.” Grande then added, “They’re our main storytellers and sources of communication.” Could it be a mascara? An eyeliner? We don’t know just yet, but Grande did confirm that aside from eye products, the line will also include buttery lipsticks and lip glosses.
Currently there’s no word on a specific date for the launch, but it will be out sometime this fall, so keep an eye on the brand’s IG account for all the news. Soon enough it’ll be time to say “thank u, next” to all your old makeup products to make room for r.e.m.!
