He tested positive for COVID-19 (coronavirus)
Andy Cohen was one of the first celebrities to test positive for COVID-19 (coronavirus), he announced on March 20. Watch What Happens Live @ Home, a modified version of his Bravo talk show shot from his New York City apartment and interviewing guests via video chat, has been put on hold. Cohen wrote on Instagram: “After a few days of self-quarantine, and not feeling great, I have tested positive for Coronavirus. As much as I felt like I could push through whatever I was feeling to do #WWHL from home, we’re putting a pin in that for now so I can focus on getting better.”

His favourite Real Housewives series is #RHONY
While at an Emmys event in New York City, Andy Cohen was asked what his favourite Bravo show of all time is. The Watch What Happens Live host responded, “Gosh, that's so hard. You know, maybe The Real Housewives of New York City." Given that he also lives in the Big Apple, he likely does get to see the RHONY women the most. That said, The Real Housewives of New York City is also hugely popular among fans as well — with many eagerly anticipating its return for its 12th season on April 2.

Have you seen Andy Cohen’s baby? He announced he was expecting his first child via surrogate on December 20, 2018, he officially became a single dad to his son Benjamin Allen Cohen on February 4, 2019. Named after the Bravo executive producer’s maternal grandfather, Andy Cohen’s baby was born 9 lbs., 2 ounces, and measuring 20 inches long. The proud dad wrote on Instagram, “I’m in love. And speechless. And eternally grateful to an incredible surrogate. And I’m a dad. Wow.” It’s hard to believe, but little Ben is now over a year old and is as adorable as ever — having been named PEOPLE's Cutest Baby Alive 2019 last November.

He was the first openly gay US talk show host
Ever wonder, “Is Andy Cohen gay?” The answer is a resounding, “Yaaas!” When Andy Cohen launched Watch What Happens Live (WWHL) on Bravo in 2009, he officially became the first openly gay host of an American late-night talk show. He has never made a secret about his sexuality publicly and reps the LGBTQ community and its culture on the series as well, with tongue-in-cheek segments like “How To Tell If Your Boyfriend Is Gay.” Notably, Cohen is also one of the only producers in the industry to have transitioned from behind the scenes to on-screen stardom.

He had Lady Gaga’s urine turned into a perfume
Yes, you read that correctly. While promoting his book “The Andy Cohen Diaries: A Deep Look at a Shallow Year” on The Howard Stern Show, Andy Cohen revealed that he had Lady Gaga’s urine turned into a perfume. The singer was appearing as a guest on WWHL and needed to relieve herself; instead of walking to the washroom, she used a nearby trash bin. (Is anyone that surprised?) Cohen had a production assistant gather the liquid gold, explaining, “I said, ‘Get that [urine] and put it inside a fancy bottle and we’ll have Gaga’s pee … That’s a great piece of pop culture.’”

His BFFs include SJP and Anderson Cooper
Andy Cohen has many famous friends, though his inner circle appears to be quite tight. Chief amongst his BFFs are Sex and the City star Sarah Jessica Parker and his CNN New Year’s Eve co-host Anderson Cooper. SJP and Cohen met when he was a producer on CBS’ The Morning Show and are spotted on the Met Gala red carpet annually. Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen were actually set up on a blind date years ago, though apparently the WWHL star broke the news anchor’s cardinal rule of mentioning his mother, the late socialite Gloria Vanderbilt, within their conversation’s first four sentences.

He is single, gentlemen!
While the world may wonder who is Andy Cohen’s partner, we are not likely to find out anytime soon. Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, he described his ideal man as, “Someone who’s very independent, someone who has their own thing going on. Maybe someone who’s never seen The Real Housewives.” The Watch What Happens Live host is famously private about his dating life and Andy Cohen’s last partner was in March 2018, when he broke up with Harvard University grad student Clifton Dassuncao. At the end of that year, he announced he was going to become a single father and it seems he has traded in dating for being a dad ever since.

His taste in food is relatable
Can you guess what Andy Cohen’s favourite food is? One hint: he’s lovin’ it. In an interview on Michael Ian Black's How to Be Amazing podcast, Andy Cohen admitted, "I love a McDonald's cheeseburger.” He doesn’t get fancy with it either, preferring to order the two cheeseburger value meal with super-sized fries and a medium Diet Coke. Andy’s top pick for a future Housewife is…
During a round of questions on the set of Watch What Happens Live for Bravo Insider, Andy Cohen said who his dream Real Housewives star would be — and it should come as no surprise to anyone who follows the franchise and Twitter. His top pick would be model and television personality Chrissy Teigen, who also happens to be a huge Bravoholic. In the interview, Cohen reveals how Housewives are chosen: “It’s a mix between the production company, myself and the executives at Bravo who decide.” Fans circulated a petition calling for Teigen to replace Lisa Vanderpump on The Real Housewives of Beverley Hills last year, so who knows what the future may hold.
