How to Fix a Smudged Manicure
A recently smudged manicure is easier to fix than you think. You don’t need to leave the house with imperfect nails, simply use your tongue to smooth it out and then gently use the pad of a finger to even it out. It might sound gross but it works great. The alternative is to dip a cotton bud in nail polish remover and very gingerly sweep over the smudge but you may need an extra coat of nail polish for this one.

How to Fix Too Much Blush
No need to look like a clown. Use a clean powder or blush brush and blend out the blush using a dab of translucent powder. Another way to tone down excessive blush is to use a fresh makeup sponge and blend it out. Just remember that the friction will likely cause your cheeks to redden, so don’t go blending too much or you might not have any blush left!

How to Tame Frizzy Hair
Water in the air makes for frizzy, unruly hair, especially for wavy or curly-haired gals. Rub hand cream or body lotion between your hands and smooth onto frizzed out hair. Twist the ends and leave for 10 to 15 minutes. When you shake your hair out the frizz will be tamed and your tresses will have a little extra body.

How to Fix a Broken Nail
No nail file? No worries. Use the side of a matchbox, a brick or concrete wall. It won’t look as good as when your manicurist does it, but it’ll take the edge off and prevent snags on your (or your partner’s) clothes.

How to Refresh an Oily Face
As long as you can spare a square you’ll be fine. Separate the ply of your toilet paper and use one ply as blotting paper, or if you can get your hands on a (clean) toilet seat cover, use a bit of that as your blotting paper and remember to tear a couple pieces for later. OK, it doesn’t sound very appealing but it really works to absorb excess oils.

How to Fix Too Much Perfume
There’s nothing worse than leaving a trail of strong perfume in your wake and making people gag from your trigger-happy application. Your nose becomes accustomed to your own scent fooling you into applying way more than necessary. One or two sprays is more than enough, but in the case where you were heavy-handed, try blotting the area with an alcohol-infused cotton pad. If it’s on your clothes, go change them.
