The Housewives we love to hate. Because a villain’s gotta vill, right?

Nene Leakes
Nene Leakes shot to Real Housewives stardom due to her meme-worthy quips and ability to read any Housewife to filth. However, what used to be seen as witty and entertaining is now being seen as downright mean. In the RHOA season 11 reunion, this Georgia peach was as cold as the Arctic, with seemingly no friends left in the group except for Marlo Hampton.

Kim Richards
Kim Richards publicly struggled with her addiction to alcohol on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. However, whether that explained her ‘mean girl’ behaviour is up for debate. Her erratic behaviour made some of her scenes hard to watch, but it was like a car crash you just couldn’t look away from. ‘Bunnygate’ was among some of her worst moments– an incident where she returned a stuffed bunny rabbit to Lisa Rinna, who had given it as a gift to her granddaughter. Richards claimed the bunny had bad energy.

Caroline Manzo
Stubborn, no-nonsense, take no prisoners, and don’t ever talk about her family – Caroline Manzo is the RHONJ matriarch that will scare the crap out of you. Her time on The Real Housewives got off to a fiery start when she relentlessly targeted— another most-hated housewife — Danielle Staub, outing her for her criminal past. However, her family-first attitude and quick tongue scored her another show, Manzo'd With Children in 2014.

Porsha Williams
We know that The Real Housewives is about the epic fights, but Porsha Williams took it to a whole new level when she dragged Kenya Moore by the hair during a reunion taping. Porsha’s willingness to put hands on the other Housewives soon became a problem, especially after more fights with Cynthia Bailey and one of Kandi Burruss’s employees. In RHOA season nine, Porsha spread a nasty rumour about Kandi, accusing her of attempting to drug her and bring her to a sex dungeon. That turned out to be a lie. A big one.

Ramona Singer
This RHONY housewife is known for being overly emotional and playing the victim card. She’s not afraid to let her opinion be known, which makes for great TV, but it’s also sure to grind your gears. Despite her ‘most-hated’ status, she’s clearly doing something right— Singer is the only housewife to be consistently on the show since season one.

Camille Grammer
Camille was famously branded America's Most Hated Housewife after her first season on RHOBH. She came off as a total mean girl when she went up against fan-favourite Kyle Richards.
When Kelsey Grammer cheated on Camille and filed for divorce, Camille earned some major sympathy points from viewers. She eventually did a total personality turnaround in the sophmore season of RHOBH and became a fan favourite herself, earning her redemption like no Housewife before her.

Vicki Gunvalson
Even before her fake cancer scandal, Vicki was a divisive Housewife on RHOC. She's totally ruthless when she’s in a feud, but her real downfall was when she failed to fully own up to her part in the fake cancer mess. She’s the OG of the OC, but she's going to have to show some humility to win fans back over.

Kenya Moore
Kenya has her haters, including a few of her RHOA castmates. She’s certainly not one of the most loved Housewives, but her way of brushing off her haters and twirling on keeps her from the top of the most hated list.

Jill Zarin
Going up against Bethenny was a big, big mistake. Until that moment, Jill was loved by Housewives fans. When she turned on Bethenny, we saw a whole new side of Jill – and it wasn’t pretty. She came across as bitter and spiteful and never fully recovered from the friendship split. It was a friendship breakup that broke our hearts.

LeeAnne Locken
LeeAnne makes for the perfect villain on RHOD. She’s blissfully unaware of how she comes off, and she’s always rearing for a fight. Over the course of the first RHOD season, she showed her softer side, but is that really what we want from her? We'd be just as happy if she went full villainess.

Alex McCord
During their first season on RHONY, Alex and Simon were the biggest social climbers this side of Alexis and Jim. Over time, though, we softened on Alex.
Remember when Alex accused Jill of being in high school? ("And while you are in high school, I am in Brooklyn!") In that moment, she officially became New York's beloved underdog. Hated? Sure. But she bounced back from it.

Aviva Drescher
Aviva’s real downfall was her misguided bookgate feud with Carole, when she needlessly accused Carole of using a ghostwriter. At least she gave us one final, very villain-y swan song by tossing her fake leg on the table at a fancy dinner party. Oh, Aviva. We think we might even miss you.

Amber Marchese
Amber’s husband Jim was probably the most hated Housewives husband ever – and there's been plenty who were no treat! Amber was another Housewife who was blissfully unaware of how she came off – we’re pretty sure she thought she was the hero of RHONJ...at least until she saw the show’s final cut.

Brandi Glanville
Brandi is one of the most divisive Housewives ever. She has legions of support — and without her there would have been some very dull lulls on RHOBH — but she crossed the line of decency one too many times. That’s the thing that made her a great Housewife, though — she never knows where the line is.

Michaele Salahi
The Salahis! Oh wow. They were a national scandal of a Housewives couple. Michaele was oblivious and entitled on RHODC. And, sure, lots of Housewives share those qualities, but she was never able to spin them into a likable package. After the gatecrashing episode, though, she does go down as the only Housewife to become a major fixture on CNN.

Bravo

Kelly Dodd
Kelly came out of the gate charging on her first Housewives season. She was unrelenting, over-the-top and frequently wasted. There have been few Housewives who became an instant villain as quickly as Kelly. She’s certainly close to the top of the current most hated list.

Dorit Kemsley
Another newbie to add to the Most-Hated list! Dorit's accent is the first hateable thing about her, obvi, but pantygate is what led to a fan revolt against the RHOBH newbie. Dorit, sweetie darling, you shouldn't have come for Erika Jayne, even if those were LVP's marching orders. Better luck next time!

Peggy Sulahian
When Peggy joined the RHOC cast, viewers weren't sure what to make of her. Soon enough - they had their answer. After news reports broke that Peggy was allegedly estranged from her gay brother due to her homophobia, she became enemy no.1 amongst LGBTQ Housewives fans.

Danielle Staub
And our Most Hated Housewife ever is...Danielle Staub! Danielle was a force of nature on RHONJ. She was the one who led to Teresa’s infamous table flip! She was incredibly feisty and provoked loathing from both Housewives fans and her castmates. But in the years since she parted ways from the show, we’ve softened on her – so much so that we can't wait for her big return!

Bravo

Faye Resnick
An honourable mention: The Morally Corrupt Faye Resnick. Though Faye's never held a diamond, she's a regular part of the RHOBH cast and during season one of the show, she was one of the best villains in Housewives history.
