These Will Be the Most Popular Baby Names in 2028

Posted by Denette Wilford on November 9, 2018

Children might not be on your radar yet but that's OK. Nameberry has you covered if you're not ready but might be in 10 years' time. That's right, the website looked into their magical crystal ball (a.k.a. an algorithm based on Social Security data and wild projections) and revealed what they believe will be THE names for the babies of 2028. Let's just say that if you've kept track of popular names in recent years, then some of these aren't going to be that surprising. Turns out, parents in the future aren't all that original.

    1. Charlotte

Will and Kate's daughter shouldn't get all the credit as the name first surfaced on lists in 2014 — a year before she was born. By 2028, Princess Charlotte will be 13; she might fall from No. 1 after that.

    3. Maverick

What the ... ?! If this is based on Tom Cruise's iconic character, this makes no sense — even with the Top Gun sequel set for a 2020 release.
