David E. Kelley hive, rise up! The writer and executive producer of Big Little Lies and The Undoing is headed back to HBO once again, this time with Elizabeth Olsen for Love and Death on HBO Max. In typical Kelley fashion, the show features a beautiful blonde lead and a dash of murder.

The WandaVision actress is set to star in the new series as real-life killer Candy Montgomery, a Texas housewife who slaughters a friend from church with an axe. The show takes place in the 1980s and is based off the book Evidence of Love: A True Story of Passion and Death in the Suburbs and several Texas Monthly articles, including “Love & Death In Silicon Prairie, Part I & II.”

“This is a gripping story about the frustrations and desires of two women in a small town that culminates in a terrible act of violence,” said Sarah Aubrey, head of original content for HBO Max in a Variety interview.

Kelley’s longtime collaborator Nicole Kidman – who he teamed up with on The Undoing, Big Little Lies and the upcoming series Nine Perfect Strangers – will also executive produce. Lesli Linka Glatter, who executive produced Homeland,  is attached to direct.

The release date is still TBD, but in the meantime fans of Olsen can see her reprise her iconic role as Wanda Maximoff in the next MCU movie Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The film is set for release next spring.
