You can still get those little wing pins for kids on most full-service airlines, but Smarter Travel says you have to ask the flight attendant. Alas, most airlines now opt for plastic wings with a sticky strip on the back rather than a pin.

The website Around the World with Kids says that several airlines still offer activity packs for young children on long-haul flights. These packs usually contain items such as crayons, colouring books and stickers. Lufthansa even includes a logbook in which the young ones can record their flight.
