Professional food tasters oversee quality control of many of the foods you eat. Perhaps the pinnacle of this career is tasting chocolate, which is what Jennifer Koen does for Godiva. "You need to like chocolate to like this job. Luckily I do," Koen told Fox News recently. "Eating chocolate is a pleasure in life. It's like sex — you love it but sometimes you need a little break."

Like the chocolate taster, the beer taster is a much coveted gig. The beer taster can work for a brewery or as a beer writer. But you've got to know your stuff if you want to become a certified beer sommelier.

You think horses exercise themselves? Nope. The horse exerciser is responsible for exercising and training horses between races. If you like animals and being outdoors, this is a great job. The salary isn't bad either: around $50,000 a year.

No, we're not making this one up. In fact it's what Jesse Kiefer does at Cadbury Schweppes. Speaking to Fortune magazine, Kiefer said his job is harder than it sounds.

"(Gum) has to deliver a burst of flavour, a lot of sweetness, and a lot of tartness if it's a fruit gum. Our team figures out how to combine all those."

Amazingly, he's only had one cavity in his gum chewing career.

We've always thought that driving a Google Street View car would be a blast. But here's an even better job: the Google Street View cyclist. Riding a specially equipped trike, Street View cyclists get to ride through parks, gardens and historical landmarks. The hardest part of the job? Trying to get it!

According to ABC News, a British university student beat out 2000 applicants to become a water slide tester. It was just a summer job, but Seb Smith got to travel the world testing and reviewing water slides. Not a bad way to make a living.

It's all about image. CNBC recently reported on the trend of Chinese companies hiring fake "Western" executives to give the appearance of having global connections. The pay isn't quite executive level — roughly $1000 a week — but there's no real pressure other than keeping up the charade at meetings and business luncheons.

Roisin Madigan scored a cool job working for a luxury bed company. Her gig? Reviewing high end beds by sleeping in them. The job lasted just a month, but she did get paid — and sleeping on the job was encouraged.

China Daily is reporting that the China Giant Panda Protection and Research Centre Ya'an, Sichuan province has openinga for panda caretakers. The salary starts at $34,000 a year and perks include a company car, free meals and free accommodation. The deadline to apply is July 15.

And then there's this, the coolest Canadian job ever: Keeper of the Stanley Cup. The best known keeper (there are four others) is Phil Pritchard (R). His job is to travel with the cup to make sure it stays safe and sound. Players who play on Stanley Cup winning teams get to keep the cup for one day — which means Pritchard and the cup travel a lot.

“The best thing to do, I guess, would be winning the cup,” Pritchard told the Los Angeles Times. “But the second best, I guess, is kind of hanging out with it, so no complaints. To be right there and see history happening is pretty amazing.”
