I think it's safe to say that this is the coolest thing since Zorbing.


Flyboarding basically involves strapping a jet-pack to your feet and having a streams of water propel you into the sky. The exact force is controlled by the driver of the boat you're attached to but once you're up you can manoeuvre the board how you like opting to simply stand tall or try out some tricks like the professionals in the video. The better the your balance the better control you will have over how you movement in the sky.

Formerly a niche sport--the first Flyboard World Cup was held in Qatar in 2012--pretty much anyone with the guts can now experience the freedom of flying by heading to either Cold, Jackfish, Sylvan or Wabamun Lakes in Alberta.
