Here’s What Alexis Bellino Has Been up to Since Leaving RHOC

What’s going on in the OC?! Between Shannon and David, Kelly and Michael and now Alexis and Jim, the RHOC ladies are seriously contributing to the OC’s notoriously high divorce rate. Jim filed for divorce from Alexis in June 2018, citing irreconcilable differences and asked the courts for joint custody of the couple's three children. The biggest surprise of the filing? While the couple portrayed Jim as the breadwinner on RHOC, he’s the one asking *her* for child support.

Alexis and Jim said in a joint statement that they made the choice to split together "with love" because it was best for their children's future. The lengthy statement made it clear the marriage was never perfect, which contradicted the united front they put up when they were on TV. “Our marriage was a good one, but we were never perfect people or spouses —no one is, and in this respect, we were a lot like millions of other married people.”

In a blog post on his website, Jim added that he plans to avoid the “media circus” following the split. “My most important job in life is being a father—nothing will ever stop me from making my kids my number one priority—and that includes the media circus. I am going to take the high road and not take any cheap shots. I am moving on—and so should everyone else!”

In July, Alexis celebrated her first fourth of July as a new divorcee. Much was made of the all caps she chose her caption when she posted on social media to celebrate "INDEPENDENCE Day" but according to Jim's blog, he was actually with her at the time.

Alexis has long presented herself as a strict mother and devoted housewife, but it sounds like she’s relaxed a bit post split. In a Facebook post, the former RHOC star wrote that she’s gone from cooking four-course dinners to serving top ramen (her kids certainly didn’t mind).

“Right now we eat on paper plates and just survive,” she wrote., “Jim and I are juggling the kids every two days in our main home so that the kids don’t feel this transition so much. So when it’s my two days to have the kids then I stay here. And vice Versa. Life is in complete chaos for Jim and I.”

Religion has always been an important part of Alexis’ life, so it’s no surprise she’s turned to her faith as she deals with the fallout from her second divorce. In a revealing post about the divorce on Instagram, she wrote “All I know is that God is with me through this. HE is getting me through this. I will get through this storm, this season, this extremely painful time, and I will be stronger on the other side. It’s so difficult going through the rain to get to the rainbow.”

Tamra said in an interview with the podcast Juicy Scoop that Jim is a “shady motherf-cker” who’s headed to jail (she didn’t provide any details to support her theory). In the same podcast episode, Shannon said the couple’s trampoline park shut down because of a lawsuit. The interview led Jim to sue both women for damages in excess of $1 million, according to TMZ. That’s not the only legal drama Jim’s caught up in, though – his former business partner in the trampoline park is suing him, claiming he failed to pay him when he sold Jim his stake in the company.

Shortly after news of the divorce broke, Alexis headed off to Montana for some peace and quiet with her kids. The trip included rodeos and horseback riding but, unlike the July 4 outing it appeared like the family was there without Jim.

Did the divorce come out of nowhere? It seems like it may have, because the couple bought a $4 million dollar mansion just before Jim filed for divorce. They really splashed out, too – the 4,572 square foot property in Dana Point, California includes a pool, marble floors, three bedrooms and four bathrooms. Seems like a pretty extravagant house to buy if you’re going through marital troubles, right?

The peace between Tamra and Alexis may be broken thanks to that Juicy Scoop interview, but for a while, Alexis was actually getting along with her former O.C. foe. Alexis gave Tamra a hard time when Tamra over her new Christian faith, but the former co-stars actually had a pleasant run-in at one of Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper’s live shows in Orange County. Tamra said on Watch What Happens Live that things went smoothly when the two were seated near each other.

“You know what? It was really good,” Tamra said. ”It was kind of a nice situation where she sat in front of me and she turned to me and she said, 'I didn't mean to come off bad. I'm very happy for you.' And I just felt like there's a reason for everything, for her sitting in front of me.”

Tamra may not be a forever-friend candidate for Alexis, but Lydia definitely is. The former Housewives remain close despite having not filmed with each other in years. They were pictured dancing together during a night out on the town in fall 2017, and Alexis was a guest at Lydia’s vow renewal the previous year.
