Every Moment Leading to Lisa Vanderpump Leaving RHOBH
You might not be able to tell from our latest round of injections, but we’re having a hard time digesting the news that when RHOBH returns for a 10th season, it will be without OG cast member Lisa Vanderpump. As the ninth season comes to a close so too does Lisa’s career as a Housewife, despite the franchise helping her to launch a spin-off, a few charitable ventures, and several new restos and bars. Sure, they say all good things must come to an end, but here’s a look at some of the oh-so-bad behaviour following Puppygate that led to her departure.
Lisa Vanderpump refused to pose for group photosWe knew something was up when Lisa refused to pose for photos with the other RHOBH cast members ahead of the ninth season premiere. Lisa Rinna called Vanderpump out in an Instagram story at the time, revealing Lisa had locked herself in her dressing room.
“Rumor has it that one of the cast members won’t shoot with us. They won’t do a group shot with us so we are sequestered in a room,” Rinna said in the story alongside Erika Girardi. “They are going to have to like put her in… in like a, you know, computer-like way.”

She skipped Camille Grammer’s weddingWhen Camille tied the knot with David Meyer in Hawaii last October, fans weren’t talking about the bride’s ceremony, dress, or hair. Instead they were wondering why Lisa wasn’t in attendance alongside the rest of the RHOBH crew. At the time it didn’t feel like a huge thing — Grammer even revealed to People that she “respects her decision” and that “Lisa was very apologetic about it,” but that event was just one of several group situations that Lisa decided to totally remove herself from this season.
No one showed up to her Vanderpump Dogs GalaEveryone knows that dogs are near and dear to Lisa’s heart, so to skip her dog gala is a pretty big statement. Still, it’s one that the entire cast made when they opted out of joining the Vanderpump Rules family during the November shindig, and Lisa certainly took notice. Supposedly Lisa never sent out formal invitations but did make a point of telling new cast member Denise Richards about the event, which in turn hurt former BFF Kyle Richards and her feelings. Obviously, Lisa was equally hurt by the fact that no one showed up.

Lisa throws Erika Girardi under the busWe’re used to all the Housewives throwing shade, but Lisa took things too far when she joked that Erika is transgender and tucks in her male parts. Lisa immediately regretting saying it and walked back her statement, telling ET in May that, “It was not my intention to belittle the trans community with my poor choice of words directed toward Erika. With recent news of trans women losing their lives for living their authentic truth in a world of discrimination and hate, I never want to diminish the very real pain and struggle that Trans people go through every day.”
Lisa and Kyle’s big falloutIn one of the most teased moments of the entire season, Lisa and Kyle finally had it out in Lisa’s kitchen during the show’s eighth episode, and it wasn’t pretty. As the ladies screeched at each other over the whole Puppygate fiasco, it was Lisa’s hubby, Ken Todd, who finally stepped in and told Kyle what’s what. “Goodbye Kyle” was the meme we didn’t know we all needed in our lives.

Lisa Vanderpump was iced outAs the season went on, it seemed like Lisa was doing more and more of her own thing and spending less time with the other ladies. (Look no further than their lack of invite to her big birthday bash.) And for their part, the rest of the cast just stopped talking to Lisa and involving her in storylines. If you ask us, that’s got to be a frostier feeling than finding a last-summer freezie wedged into the back of your deep-freezer.
Camille Grammer mocks Lisa’s appearanceMean Girl syndrome is very real—just ask Camille, who took aim at Lisa following her gigantic fight with Kyle, after Kyle relayed the events to the rest of the crew. In a shocking and somewhat drunken rant, Camille made fun of Lisa’s teeth and gums, saying she could barely look at her before she got her teeth redone. Eventually Camille felt bad enough about the comments to apologize on Twitter, but we’d say it was a bit too late.

The lie detector testLisa was so deadset on proving that she didn’t lie about not leaking the Dorit story to Radar Online that she even took a big, fancy lie detector test to prove it. But of course that wasn’t good enough for the other ladies, who considered the move extreme and a waste of time. So even when Lisa passed the test with flying colours, it didn’t seem to matter to her co-stars.
Busy with her empireAs entertaining as the drama all season long was, it was nice to see Lisa making lemonade out of all those certified Beverly Hills lemons. As the rest of the cast acted incredulous at Lisa backing out from events and potential storylines, Lisa focused on more important things — like her super expensive kitchen remodel (which hopefully drove out all of those negative demons), running all of her bars and restos, and diving into even more charity work.

She skipped the RHOBH reunion showIf we had any hope of Lisa rectifying things and returning to the series, it was completely quashed when she didn’t show up to the season nine reunion show. That would have certainly been the time for Lisa to air her grievances and come to some sort of a resolution with the other ladies, but sadly that just wasn’t mean to be.
“The objective of the reunion is to reunite, right? And I have no inclination to reunite with the women who’ve been harassing me for 10 months now,” Vanderpump told the DailyMailTV.
We’re sad to see her go.
