What to Expect on Season 7 of 'The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills'
Life has not been all diamonds and rosé since we last saw Lisa Vanderpump and co., but it will be soon enough: the premiere of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season seven is near (December 6!!).
Plenty has happened in the 90210 since last season, so we dug through social media and the gossip blogs to find out what our favourite Beverly Hills Housewives have been up to since season six ended in fireworks.
Here's what to expect this season:
There's a new Housewife in town
There's been a cast shakeup and a new Housewife is joining the BH ranks: Dorit Kemsley. Dorit lived in Europe and New York before settling in Beverly Hills and has a background in fashion. She runs her own fashion label, Dorit, and designs resort and swimwear.
Dorit is a capital "H" Housewife with a husband, Paul “PK” Kemsley. The couple has two kids together, but their house also has another surprising inhabitant: Boy George. PK is the pop star's manager and: yes! That means we'll be seeing some Boy George cameos.
Dorit is a close friend of LVP, but from the sounds of things, she doesn't hit it off with all of the rest of the ladies.
"The season was super dramatic a lot of situations transpired that I have never found myself in before. I believe I stood my ground and whilst I don’t thrive on drama, I also won’t shy away from it,” Kemsley told People.
In the season seven trailer, we see Dorit facing off against Erika, who goes in on the newbie, saying, "I don't like bulls--t, Dorit, and that's what I think you are."
There's another new girl in town
Dorit's not the only new addition to the cast. A new face with a famous last name is also joining RHOBH as a "friend of" the BH Housewives. Eden Sassoon is the daughter of the legendary hair stylist Vidal Sassoon, but she's also an entrepreneur in her own right. The new RHOBH star owns her own salon in Beverly Hills, plus two pilates studios.
Yolanda has finished her run as a Housewife
After four seasons on the show, Yolanda is no longer a Real Housewife. Earlier this year, Yolanda posted an Instagram announcing her departure that read, "I would have loved a more graceful exit then "Season 6" but sometimes we don't get to control the endings of the chapters in our life. I am leaving what's over without denying its past importance in my life. I believe that every exit is an new entry and with that in mind I say goodbye."
Kathryn's gone, too
After just one season, Kathryn is gone, too. She stirred up some major drama last year by bringing RHOBH perennial Faye Resnick's links to the OJ Simpson trial back up, but ultimately didn't gel with the cast.
What we'll miss most about Kathryn: her babe husband Donnie. What we wouldn't give for just one cuddle with him.
An insane amount of travel
The ladies are heading all over the globe this season, with trips to Greece, Hong Kong and Mexico. There's nothing we love more than a trip that forces all the women into one space for a few drama-filled days of fighting in front of a scenic backdrop and we feel like we got a three-for-one deal this year.
Kyle's producing a show about her life
Last season we learned Kyle was working on a show inspired by her life as child star. Since then, American Girl got picked up by TV Land for 12-episode order and we're now starting to get our first sneak peaks of production.
The show will be headlined by Alicia Silverstone and Mena Suvari. And there's bound to be same familial drama behind-the-scenes for Kyle. Her sister Kathy Hilton was less than pleased to learn about the show, which may have led to some creatives changes – there are only two children in the show, rather than three, meaning it's likely only going to depict the early lives of Kyle and Kim, not Kathy.
A Gatsby-worthy rager
The ladies get all dressed up for a flapper party this season that looks like it's going to be a total trip back in time. If nothing else, it has already provided us the most iconic cigarette puff since Alison Dubois swung by RHOBH.
