Season 9 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills hasn’t even aired, yet the question on every fan’s mind is if Lisa Vanderpump will return for season 10. It’s hard to imagine a season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills without this original cast member, but according to Lisa herself, this has been her most difficult season yet.
Lisa is apparently on the outs with most her RHOBH castmates, and when she stopped by Global’s The Talk to promote the season premiere of Vanderpump Rules (which airs December 3rd on Slice), she addressed all the RHOBH headlines head-on.
“I’m going to see how this season plays out,” Lisa responded when asked if this was her final season as a Real Housewife. “This season was very difficult for me and I did find that I kind of floundered…It’s my ninth season and I had a very difficult year. After doing Vanderpump Rules, and opening a new business, things got very complicated. So I’m in most of the season but…it’s a bit complicated.”
Later in her interview on The Talk, Lisa also let it slip that this is not the first time she’s had to seriously consider if she would return for another season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
“I think when I’ve had a couple of rough seasons then I’ve thought, ‘am I crazy for going back?’ I think anybody that’s watched the show, they’ve seen [me] be under attack a little bit. It’s been hard.” Lisa explained. “But then I’ve also gained so much from this show. It’s given me so many opportunities and platforms to do the things I’m passionate about. [I started] the Vanderpump Dogs Foundation, and [I’ve spoken] on behalf of the LGBTQ community and worked with The Trevor Project for suicide prevention…Vanderpump Dogs Rescue center has already rescued 780 dogs… the television vehicle is just so powerful, and so I have used it to my advantage to support things I’m passionate about. I’ve had a bloody good time a lot of the time on Housewives…[but] sometimes it gets rough.”
Later in her interview, Lisa expressed her reaction when the RHOBH women didn’t attend her Vanderpump Dogs Charity Gala. “I wasn’t in a great place with them, but the fact that they didn’t come was disappointing,” Lisa said. “It hasn’t been great, the last couple of months, but you’ll see it all on the show.”
Lisa’s rocky relationship with her fellow Housewives made headlines back in September when it was reported that she had conflict with her on-screen bff Dorit Kemsley over a dog adoption from Vanderpump Dogs. Later that month Lisa Rinna and Erika Jayne appeared on Instagram live and revealed that Lisa Vanderpump would not take the official cast photos with the rest of the women, and that she refused to leave her dressing room. Lisa Vanderpump’s most shocking absence happened in October when she was noticeably missing at Camille Grammer’s wedding in Hawaii while all of the other Housewives were in attendance.
While details on what exactly caused this rift between Lisa Vanderpump and the other Housewives are scarce, we do know that the ladies will be joined by actress Denise Richards when The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills returns to Slice for season 9.
