Gorgeous Fall Gear That Will Make You Want to Work Out
Treat yourself to some new workout gear that better suits the season. From shoes to yoga mats, we're sharing some of the fitness gear we're currently coveting for fall.
Now that the temperature is dipping you’re going to need an extra layer to keep the wind out, but nothing heavy enough to be cumbersome. This rich red mid-layer is perfect, thanks to its flexibility and breathability. When the weather gets colder you can wear a vest or windbreaker over it for added warmth.
Forme Jacket Cuffins, $108 to $118.
On days you’ll be on the go all day you need more than a basic flat. You can get more done on the run with a pair of sleek slip-on sneakers that also work as a casual athletic shoe for fall. They’re easy to get on and off and we love the vintage design.
New Balance 442 Slip-On, $80.
Since fall weather can often be unpredictable, it’s a good idea to have some just-in-case protection on hand. This lightweight running jacket in a lively shade of green packs down into a back zip pocket for easy storage and it’s made from water-repellent fabric in case you get caught in the rain.
Mesh Panel Leggings
Who says bright colours are only for summer? Inject some colour into your fall workouts with a pair of get-noticed leggings featuring bold mesh panels in neon blue, pink and yellow. Designed as part of a collaboration between Adidas and Rita Ora, these leggings are a fun addition to any fall fitness wardrobe.
Gone are the days of running in tank tops. Combat the soon-to-increase chill with the help of a breathable long sleeve top with a close-fitting hood. We were drawn in by the eye-catching turquoise hue, but also love that this top is quick-drying, comfortable and made from anti-odor material.
Head to and from the gym in style and comfort with a vintage-inspired Nike sweatshirt. The vibrant colour is perfect for fall and the scoop neck and soft, lightweight fabric mean you can easily wear this top anywhere casual, from your Pilates class to the grocery store.
Disguise that sweaty 'do with a totally on-trend wrap headband. Wear it during class to keep perspiration out of your eyes or after class to salvage your post-workout hair.
Titika Twist Headband, $12.
Travel Yoga Mat
Fall often means being on the move more than during the lazy days of summer. Take your yoga practice with you this season no matter what your schedule throws at you with an easy-to-pack travel yoga mat. Choose from fuchsia, lavender or yellow.
I Glow Travel Yoga Mat, $30.
Skinny Jean Legging
Feel free to wear these skinny jean-inspired leggings straight home from your hatha yoga class without changing– even if you have to stop for a coffee on the way home. They may be ultra-comfortable with four-way stretch, but they’re also designed to look like jeans (pockets and all).
Tote your yoga gear in a bag that pops this fall. We love the mustard-yellow shade of this functional yet totally stylish yoga bag that has room to store your clothes and a laptop, plus external straps to hold a yoga mat.
Two Times a Yogi Bag, $128.
Sometimes a vest is the best type of fall layer when it comes to working out outdoors. It’s not too heavy, it fits easily over a base layer, and it allows you to move unencumbered by too much material. This one, in versatile charcoal, is water repellent and insulated.
Icy 2 Vest, $120.
