Tagged as the gown that gave way to the nickname Dynasty Di – owing to the exaggerated shoulder style and gold finish, an homage to the classic series – this was one of the most memorable red carpet gowns of Diana’s royal tenure, as worn to the 1985 premiere of A View to a Kill.
