15 Simple Things Stylish Women Do Every Day

Posted by Alyssa Tria on April 9, 2019

Being a stylish woman is attainable — and there are simple things women can do every day to achieve a desirable look. Though she may have a thing for fashion, effortless style doesn’t always come easy. In fact, it takes a lot of practice and confidence to pull off Insta-worthy style. Luckily for you, we've rounded up 15 simple things every stylish woman keeps in mind to enhance her personal style.

    Invest in quality

It’s often difficult to say no to a good deal, but a true fashionista understands the difference between cost and value. The saying goes, “You get what you pay for.” And when it comes clothing, it’s sometimes worth the splurge if you’re looking for top-quality finishes and feel.

Pro tip: is to take the time to read the fabric labels. Also, if necessary, it's a great idea to take your clothes in for alterations to ensure the best wear and fit. Quality looks good on everyone.

    Stick to the basics

With so many new different trends and options available on the racks and shelves, shopping for new clothes can sometimes get overwhelming. When in doubt, invest in timeless pieces. You can never go wrong with staple pieces like an off-white satin blouse and a classic structured blazer.

After all, it's also a solution to downsize on clutter.

    Dress for the weather

When planning an outfit always be sure to keep the weather in mind. Be prepared (have an umbrella handy) and dress for both fashion and comfort.

If you do opt for heels anyway, know your hacks.

    Pick the right undergarments

Undergarments often go overlooked, but the wrong types, fabrics and fit can easily throw off the look of a potentially polished ensemble. It’s always a good idea to invest in top-quality stockings, seamless underwear and strapless bras. They will not only make you feel more comfortable, but they can easily avoid a wardrobe malfunction.

    Keeping things simple yet interesting

It’s often assumed that to look stylish you have to dress to the nines and need more of everything but in reality, one wrong piece can easily throw off an entire look. The key to not overdoing it is keeping things simple. With that said, it doesn't mean we don't encourage mixing prints and textures or wearing loud pants or jackets (we totally love it!) — but you want to make sure your outfit seems easy and cohesive.

Pro tip: A good rule of thumb is to build outfits with under four pieces of clothing.

    Understand the dress code

The best way to stand out in the crowd is by knowing the dress code ahead of time. Plan outfits accordingly to the event or venue. The last thing you’d want is to arrive under or overdressed (although it’s argued there’s no such thing as being overdressed).

    Select shoes for comfort

When it comes to shoes, you want to make sure the ones you pick can last you through the entire day or night. Nothing ruins an outfit more than sore feet. So if the day calls for flats or even sneakers, ditch the heels for another occasion. We believe that shoes make the outfit, so next time you're planning your outfit, think feet and plan your way up.

    Consider jewellery

A true fashion enthusiast never leaves the house without at least one piece of jewellery. Whether it’s thrifted vintage rings, a minimal gold pendant or a pair of funky large-and-in-charge earrings, you can never go wrong with adding jewellery to your look.

Here are good luck charms you can wear every day.

    Try different hair styles

Just as she keeps up with fashion trends, a stylish woman naturally stays on top of the latest hairstyles. The easiest way to experiment with a new do is without committing to a risky haircut (although we say go for it) and by playing around with different texturing products like sprays and wax and wearing hair accessories.
