Lake's first child, Milo was born in 1997 in a hospital; her second son, Owen, was born four years later at home with no medication. She preferred her second experience, so much so that it inspired the actress-turned-activist was inspired to make her 2008 documentary, The Business of Being Born, to help women have the kind of births they want.

Ricki Lake's doc is what inspired Hannigan to give birth at home. Twice. "I don't like hospitals and the idea of being in labor somewhere I don't like at all wasn't how I wanted to bring my kids into the world," the actress told Yahoo! Parenting in 2015. "I thought, 'Where am I most comfortable?' For me, the choice [to give birth at home] was phenomenal. We had a midwife but we asked our doctor if he needed to be there. Just like daughter, Ever, who was born on Christmas Day 2011 at home with the help of a midwife and doula, the singer — despite telling Today that "the experience was beyond pain" — did it again with her daughter, Onyx, in 2017. Alanis described the second time around as "gnarly" and like "Texas Chainsaw Massacre." Um.

In 2011, Connelly and husband Paul Bethany welcomed daughter Agnes during a scheduled home water birth. "Like many women, I gave birth to her at home," the actress told Us Weekly four months after having Agnes. "But unlike many women around the world, my birth was attended by a skilled midwife."

Newton told Today that having three home births — her youngest, Booker, on her bathroom floor — "feels normal."

Of the experiences, she said, "I'd never been in hospital as a child or as an adult really, and I just associated hospital with being ill. And I felt beautiful and healthy and wonderful when I was pregnant, and being at home was the place I felt most relaxed and comfortable."

The actress and then-husband Bruce Willis welcomed their three daughters, Rumer, Scout and Tallulah, at home.

Bello gave birth to son Jackson at home, saying she "can't imagine giving birth in a sterile environment like a hospital." During the 22 hours of labour, she "had a midwife and a thunderstorm with nothing more than an aspirin" and did it.

The actress had a home birth with her first son, Kahekili in 2011, telling then-Tonight Show host Jay Leno that she and longtime partner Norman Kali decided to "have the baby at home because we wanted it to be a natural birth, and it turns out that it was 30 hours of natural." It's unknown whether she decided to skip the hospital with her second son.

The singer had all three of her children at home and has since been an advocate for home-birthing, so much so that she's now an official doula. How's that for full circle?

The unapologetic actress was more than happy to share the details of her childbirth experience and her obsession with home births, specifically, on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.

"I had a lot of help in my birth," she told the host. "I had a very long home birth. She was almost 10 pounds, and did not want to come out ... We needed a team of doulas at my birth. Which I had, luckily." And like Badu, Hoffman has also learned the art of doula-ing.

The actress and singer chose for a natural birth at home. Taye Diggs boasted about his then-wife on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2009.

"No drugs," he said of the experience. "She is a warrior. I was holding her hands and cheering her on."

He added that she was in labour for seven or either hours. "I said I would look two times. I would look when the baby was crowning, and I wanted to look right when Walker came out. And then when he came out, all of a sudden it was like my inner gangster came out. I was like, 'Yeah baby, that's what I'm talkin' about, that's my boy!'"

Kiebs and husband Jared Pobre were pleased to announce the birth of their second child in June 2018. "Born at home, on 6.18.18 our sweet little man Bodhi Brooks Pobre entered our world," she captioned the Instagram snap of the newborn's hand being held by his parents and big sister's hands. Aw.
