Zahava, Ana & Chester
When Renée notices that her first bridal appointment of the day has requested an ‘Old Hollywood’ styled dress she asks renowned wedding dress designer and friend, Amy Michelson to bring in a selection of her very best ‘vintage couture’ gowns into the salon to prepare for the appointment.
Renée is shocked and pleasantly surprised when her first bride Zahava walks into the salon dressed up like Marilyn Monroe. Renée swears it’s a reincarnation of Marilyn Monroe herself! Zahava works as an impersonator and feels such a deep, spiritual connection to Marilyn that she plans to wed in a dress fit for the iconic Hollywood sex symbol. Zahava’s childhood friend and very flexible budget prove to be very beneficial in her search- and she is brought to tears of joy when she finds the perfect wedding gown.
Meanwhile on the other side of the salon, stylist Sharaé struggles to please Pentecostal virgin bride, Ana and her devout Christian family. Ana’s request for a “Christian Sexy” dress proves to be a tall order! Sharaé’s prayers are answered however, when Ana falls in love with a gown that everyone agrees is perfect for her conservative nuptials.
Before the day ends Renée is shocked again, this time when she finds out that her final appointment of the day is Chester, a gay man who is looking to wear a the ultimate princess gown for his wedding day. Renée manages to find a dress that makes Chester glow and smile- but with three big sales in one day- no one leaves with a bigger smile than Reneé’s!
