Pets will often reflect the personalities of their owners, and sometimes our four-legged friends even begin to resemble us — or is it that we begin to resemble them? In any case, check out these 12 examples of celebrities who bear a striking resemblance to their pets.

    Owned by the late David Bowie and wife Iman, Max is an adorable Shih Tzu/poodle mix who, like the "ZIggy Stardust" rocker, has two markedly different eye colours.

    During her days starring in Gossip Girl, Blake Lively could often be seen accompanied by her "mini-me" pal Penny. A teacup "Maltipoo" — a cross between a Maltese and a toy poodle — Penny shares similar colouring to Lively, who made it a habit to bring her furry little lookalike with her on set.

Not your average chihuahua, Tinkerbell was also the author of a book, Tinkerbell Hilton Diaries: My Life Tailing Paris Hilton. Tinkerbell passed away in 2014 at age 14.
