The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills: Episode 9 Recap
The married millionaires of Beverly Hills are here to entertain us for another week. While there are no screaming matches today and the reviled Brandi doesn’t make an appearance, there are still many things going on to entertain us.
Here are the highlights...
Plastic Surgery
Kyle’s mother-in-law gets a facelift via Adrienne’s hubby Paul. Paul calls Mark Wahlberg’s voicemail during the surgery and it’s weird. Note to self: never get a facelift. It looks seriously painful. Kyle seems to agree as she’s totally grossed out and freaked out by her mother-in-law’s face post-surgery.
Kim has a Boyfriend
Kim is in love with a dude named Ken. They met at the neighbourhood mailbox or something. She’s worried about how judgey Kyle will react to her new love life. “I told Ken my family might not like him, not to upset him, but because they don’t like anybody,” she says.
The Most Over-the-Top Party Ever
Lisa’s beloved daughter Pandora is getting hitched. To mark the occasion, Lisa’s uber-rich pal throws the most insane engagement party ever. There are camels, sexy contortionists, snake charmers, temporary tattoo artists, mermaids and a Moroccan tent set up in the ballroom.
This party is equal parts cleavage, champagne and diamonds (oh! Speaking of diamonds, Lisa gives Pandora a $68,000 custom-made diamond necklace as an engagement present).
All the ladies we love (minus Brandi) are in attendance and for the most part, they behave. They do, however, run into a seriously weird woman who tells them she calls her husband “daddy.” Gross.
The night wraps up with Kyle doing the splits with a bunch of contortionists.
“I could do the splits in bed, but it was back in the sixties,” mutters Lisa.
And with that, another hour with the rich women comes to a close. Ohhh… next time it looks like things between Kyle & Kim get testy. There will be tears!
I’ll leave you with my favourite quote of the night, courtesy of Kyle: “I have seen beautiful women turn into catwomen, [and] blowflish.” – Kyle on the evils of plastic surgery.
