The Return of the Runway
You dream about it. You wonder what will be different. You hope the parts you loved most will remain the same. You plan a viewing party with friends who enjoy your guilty pleasure just as much as you do. Then, you cozy into your favourite spot on the couch with a beverage in one hand and the remote in the other. Nothing is better than your favourite television show returning to air.
For many of you Slice aficionados that show would be Project Runway Canada – in which case, I’m pleased to act as your “dealer.” Dealer in behind-the-scenes, exclusive, and official information on everything PRC! Arguably the fiercest model in fashion Iman (a.k.a. Mrs. David Bowie) returns as host and, believe you me, there’s no shortage of fashion drama this season.
There’s something for everyone on the show’s official website this season. My recommendation is to get to know the designers (obviously this is to choose your favourite and least favourite). In true Slice fashion, you can learn about each contestant’s vices by perusing new Inspiration Pages for each designer.
Perhaps you’re a little timid, and don’t want to let go of your Season 1 favourites – again, I’m your dealer! There’s plenty of dish and dirt on Biddell, Lucian Matis, and M.G., as well as galleries of their Spring 2009 collections from Toronto Fashion Week.
