Luxury Bottled Water
Just in time for the holidays, French mineral water brand Evian has collaborated with Jean-Paul Gaultier and Christian Lacroix to design special luxury bottled water. Two bottle variations have been designed by each designer: a limited edition Haute Couture bottle and a regular Pret-a-porter bottle.

The Gaultier Haute Couture bottle is dressed-up with Baccarat crystals and the Lacroix Haute Couture bottle takes the form of a Lacroix styled ice queen; these super limited edition Haute Couture bottles (only 7 bottles of the Gaultier version and 99 bottles of the Lacroix version were produced) will be auctioned off with all proceeds from the auctions benefitting the RAMSAR organization, a charity which works to protect and conserve the Earth's wetlands and water resources.
The regular Pret-a-porter designs feature a sleek streamlined glass bottle with a frosted snowflake pattern with oversized blue lettering on the Gaultier design and an elegant coppiced lace and snowflake pattern on the Lacroix version. These stylish and fashionable Pret-a-porter water bottles are available at high end grocery stores and restaurants in Canada.
Although the concept of designer bottled water may be a bit excessive for some people, I think these water bottles are definitely a beautiful and stylish way to serve water this season. What do you think - is luxury bottled water ridiculous or fabulous?
