The Dog Blog: Doggie Do-Do
Best thing about owning a dog - unconditional love.
Worst thing about owning a dog - picking up their doggie do-do.
There's nothing I hate more than having to walk around scooping up her loads but I know it's part of the deal being a dog owner. I spent the better part of an hour this weekend picking up what I had been neglecting in our backyard. The result? Twelve bags of her waste (about a week's worth). With the newborn I admit, it often gets bumped to the bottom of our "Things to do" list. Quite disturbing too, might I add.
With the cooler weather now upon us, getting outside with her when she trots around the backyard is usually the last thing I want to do at six am either. Which is likely where the term 'poop-sicles' came from as owners like me would let them stay on their properties in the snowy and frigid temperatures.
We do pick them up on each and every single walk. Problem is, she doesn't 'go' when we walk her in the mornings. Which is why our backyard has become a bit of a disaster area.
Do you have any horror stories about having to pick up your dog's waste?
Until next week!
