Slice on the Street: Ask a Guy - Where's My Ring?
We grow up reading and watching in movies about the fairytale-like man that falls in love right away and sweeps his bride-to-be off her feet. But it just doesn't work out that way for everyone. Marriage, getting engaged, when to get married, do you want to get married? Do you want the marriage and not the weddding? These can be easy or tough questions for couples to discuss. Some couples get married on a whim and others after a decade of dating. Neither circumstance guarantees a divorce-free future. And if one person in the relationship wants to get married and the other doesn't... then what?
Like the following question that was asked in our Ask a Guy blog:
I've been with my boyfriend for nine years. I want to get married very badly and I don't know why he hasn't asked me the big question yet. When I talk about marriage he gets very snappy and doesn't say much. Everytime we go out, all our friends ask him when he's going to ask me. I wanted to get some more answers, perspectives, from men on this question. So I took to the streets to ask them if after 9 years of dating should a girl expect a ring? Undoubtedly it was hard to find a fella to answer this for us, but we did get some men willing to tackle this relationship landmine. See their answers in our video below!
