Fashion Trends for Spring

Top 10: Spring Trends
Spring Thang

Sporty, romantic, girlie, spring has a little something for everyone.

1. Shine on

Gleaming golds, silvers and bronzes add some excitement to the drab colours you’ve probably been wearing all winter. Try it out with a silver bag or shoe.

2. Sporty spice

Comfy clothes get top marks as the trend to watch. Sneakers and layered athletic wear mean there’s no such thing as being dressed “too casually” this season.

3. Power pigments

Remember all those blinding colours you wore in the ‘80s? They’re back, whether you like it or not. Electric blue, bright yellow and shocking purple  - stick to an accessory if you’re aren’t daring enough to brave a
We can’t promise it will be the best fashion purchase you make, but you will never be hit by a bus because the driver didn’t see you.

4. All clear

It may not be the naked news you were hoping for, but spring’s accessories include bags made of clear vinyl, Lucite jewellery, even sheer fabrics are making an appearance.

5. Head case

This season, you don’t even need the good ol’ “I slept through my alarm” excuse when explaining your ‘do at the water cooler. Hair has never been so simple: Simply pull back into a ponytail or bun and finish off with a headband.

6. Playing dress-up

Shifts, one-shouldered, minis, you can’t go wrong with a new dress this time around – which means you don’t have to worry about pulling off a particular style, you’re bound to find something in your shopping travels.

7. Monochromatic musings

Mixed in with all the splashes of colour is good ol’ black-and-white, especially in big, graphic patterns. Keep it from looking too boring by accessorizing with a red belt or shoe.

8. Embellish the story

Chunky stones cover jewellery, clothes, shoes and bags that looked like they were dipped in glue and rolled in someone’s rock collection. Tone it down for everyday wear with a beaded tunic or cuff.

9. Garden party

The voluminous chiffon layers, pastels and florals that floated down the runway may not work for the office, so stick with a ruffled shirt, a flower-patterned dress or some ballet flats.

10. Global girl

Tribal prints in earthy, neutral hues add a little spice to your wardrobe. And as if we needed to tell you, but skip the turbans that were spotted on runways–these are a fashion don’t in our books, no matter who’s wearing them.

They all seem like they were fashion last year in my town. But I guess it always varies?

These styles were out about 2 spring season's ago, at least in Europe. I think we're a little behind here in Canada.

I thought skinny jeans were everywhere, but I'm finding more wide-leg. That's a GOOD thing. I don't know ANYONE who looks good in those skinny things. They're hideous. I wore them when I was in highschool - little wonder I was a wallflower.

I am so glad that all the bright colors and some florals are back in style. They look so alive and happy,I so hated when i was in high school a couple years back when all the girls only wore black and whites! it looked so dull and gothy.
And the skirts are back in high demand too that is so exciting I love skirts..

I love the skinny jeans! I recently lost 30 lbs so they look really hot on me, and help make my short legs look longer!
there are lots of places to get clothing that isnt too expensive. Stitches used to be really S***ty but it has gotten better. I got my favorite skinny jeans there for only $30.

My suggestion is to try thrift shops. Buy one or two good pieces retail, then head to Value Village or Goodwill for accessories and accent pieces. Everything old becomes new again.
Remember: fashion is all in the details!

Hmm not really feeling some of those trends. But then again i've always just wore what works and incorporated what I like as the seasons change. Don't be a slave, that's my motto, cause it's those girls who try too hard and wear only what their told to, rather than what really flatters them, that end up looking pathetic.

At least you can start seeing more clothes and less skin, helping out those extra pounds to hide out more and help girls not to feel like an anorexic model. When I was a teenager, and this clothes where in; not the best fasion ever, but you did´nt have to worry about how fat or thin you had to look! But PLEASE don´t bring back the hair!! The Ozone could´nt stand that much hair spray again!!!

This is a helpful article. Just try on some of the clothing that this article has mentioned. You have to try on many clothes before you can find the ones for you.
