Episode 3040: Tammie and Warren

The defining point for most of the couples on the show is the moment I pull out that laptop and start playing the evidence. For Warren especially, it really hit home and got to him. There is nothing like seeing yourself on tape to truly understand what you look like and how other people see you; so when Warren saw himself blowing his nose at the table from Tammie’s point of view, he was mortified. At that point, Warren vowed to change his nasty nose-blowing ways.
Warren was so remorseful that I’m sure he could have and would have changed on his own, but still, I went ahead with his challenge. Warren had to spend all week eating with a face shield on. Funny? Yes. Effective? Certainly. You see, the purpose of this challenge was to teach Warren that getting up and leaving the table to blow his runny nose is much, much easier than having to lift a face shield up and down for every bite.
So Warren’s manners have improved, he and Tammie are able to eat together, and their marriage is all the better for it. It’s pretty darn simple, when you think about it.
