Episode 9: Return to the Rue
Adorable! This is the Tori and Dean that we have all come to know and love. This episode of Tori and Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood chronicled the couples return to normalcy. Gone are the days of their bicker and banter, Tori and Dean are back and better than ever! I’ve noticed over the past few weeks that many of you have been commenting on their need for a trip away from the babies. Well, my dear readers, your prayers have been answered: Tori and Dean are going on vacay!
Dean finally decided to take his bride on a weekend away and what better way to reignite their passion than return to the place where they began their family: Chateau La Rue. Kudos to Dean! This was a severely cute idea. In preparation for their rekindling, Dean decided that he wanted Tori to finally feel comfortable with an issue that has been the core of their problems over the past year: his motorcycle. In an attempt to create ease with the issue of his racing, Dean rented Tori a “trike,” a motorcycle with training wheels! With minimal coaxing, Tori agreed to go for a ride with Dean and actually admitted to liking it. While Tori was still unsure if she would ride an actual motorcycle, she explained that she would feel more comfortable riding out in the country. Note to Tori: Be careful what you say on camera!
When Dean told Tori that he was taking her away for their anniversary weekend, Tori didn’t seem quite as excited as her hubby was hoping. Not only was she apprehensive about leaving the kids with the Guncles for an entire weekend, she expressed that she didn’t know what to pack if she didn’t know where she was going. Dean had put so much effort into the celebration of four years together that I was happy when Tori finally agreed. Dean paid a visit to Neil Lane to buy Tori’s “yearly anniversary ring” and selected a beautiful flower shaped diamond with the help of Liam and Stella. After a huge hissy fit from Liam, Tori packed her bags and was off on their anniversary adventure. It’s always a party with the Guncles and Liam soon stopped whining when Uncle Scouty declared that they were going to “party until 8:05!”
When Tori and Dean arrived at Chateau La Rue (now Oak Creek Manor,) Tori was brought to tears of joy and memories. Dean had planned the most romantic weekend for Tori, including a hot-air balloon ride (which Tori HATED), cooking classes, and even an impromptu couple’s therapy session with another couple who were staying at the inn and were celebrating their 45th wedding anniversary. My favourite part of their weekend away was when Tori took the plunge and went on a real motorcycle ride with Dean. Remember, she promised! As their weekend was coming to an end, Dean brought Tori outside by the lake for a picnic. It was here that Dean presented Tori with the most beautiful ring she had ever seen and asked her to celebrate all of their growth by renewing their vows. WHOOHOOO!! Do you know what this means? Next episode we get to see a wedding! Just when I thought that Dean couldn’t get any cuter, out popped Liam, Stella, and the Guncles (including Mehran) to celebrate with the re-engaged couple. Love it!
