David Finlayson plays 2nd trombone for the New York Philharmonic. But don't let his rank fool you: Finlayson has managed to do something that the orchestra's 1st trombone player has not yet accomplished and likely never will—create a wildly popular viral video that reaches half a million hits. And all it took was his trusty instrument, a GoPro camera, and something to attach the two together.

On his website, Finlayson writes, "Trombone slide POV with my GoPro sport camera yielded a rather silly clip of me playing my new Yamaha Xeno. I don't recommended trying this on music that has faster tempi."
