About Me: I’m a neurotic, slightly self-obsessed but obviously awesome person who enjoys dancing at my desk to pop songs as well as swaying in an emo manner to slower tunes. I own six pairs of slip-on sneaks and a very lovely alien sock puppet named Badu. Age: 26 Vices: Quarter chicken white with fries at Swiss Chalet, hamburgers, angry teenage boy music, online dating, the purchase of anything involving robots and some things I’d better not mention lest my mother figures out I blog on this website. Pet peeves: Uh oh, do you have a year? People who ride their bikes on the sidewalk, people who don’t let me exit the subway before they enter, the sound the wind makes against my window at night, people biting directly into popsicles, emotionally unavailable men, not recycling, people who don’t pay their fair share at the restaurant (tax AND tip, dammit!). Most embarrassing moment: I was with my first love in his car on our first date. He was about to drop me off and I was extremely nervous about our first kiss. There was some awkward banter until he finally leaned in to kiss me. As our lips touched (ooh), I felt what seemed to be a runny nose. I pulled back and realized that I was having a nosebleed and bleeding all over him in the process. I think it might have been a bad omen. He was very understanding about it at the time but made fun of me for it for a long while after. My other most embarrassing moment took place last year when I was set on going to work even though I was sick. I rode the elevator down from my apartment and started to feel really nauseous. I wanted to run from the elevator to throw up outside, but my body couldn’t wait that long. I projectile vomited as soon as I stepped outside of the elevator as about 10 people looked on. The worst part is that I couldn’t stop throwing up, it just kept coming. GROSS. First celebrity crush: Probably Zach Morris. Or Joey McIntyre. Current celebrity crushes: I really, really love Jason Biggs. That guy is so cute and funny. And who could not love Justin Timberlake? What a hot piece of action that fella is. Swoon! If I could be anyone for a day, it would be: I’d be a man because I’m curious about what it’s like to pee standing up. And get paid 20 more cents on the dollar! Dream job: I’m really not a suck up when I say that I actually have my dream job. How many surveys about yourself did YOU get to fill out today? Pfht. Probably none, sucka. Worst nightmare: Hmmm. I hate the one where I’ve slept in and I’m late for work and everyone’s mad at me. I had a bad one about a month ago where I was running down a never ending flight of stairs. Favourite guilty pleasure movie: DOWN TO YOU STARRING JULIA STILES AND FREDDIE PRINZE JR. It’s in caps because I really like it. What’s in your purse? Why don’t we see, shall we? An old-school iPod, my wallet, a cell phone, a book called The End of the Alphabet, my journal, my day planner, some Advil, some woman supplies, Altoids, and lip balm. Movies that make me cry: The Notebook(which I hated by the way), Dancer in the Dark and anything I watch a few days before my period. I can’t leave the house without: My trusty iPod. Most annoying traits: Moi? Annoying? Hardly! But I guess if you’re not into it when your friends break into spontaneous song and dance in public, you could be annoyed by me. Also, I can get whiny and demanding when I’m sick. Also, I like to plan dates and get-togethers about a week in advance. But it’s just because I’m so darned popular. I have to accommodate my public. I’m also incredibly modest, which could be annoying.
