According to Science, We Shower Way Too Often
If you're anything like us, you hit the snooze button multiple times each morning and you dread stripping down to hop into your sometimes-too-cold/sometimes-too-hot shower.
You also hate washing your hair (because, honestly who has time to blow dry?) and you avoid it as much as possible. If only you could avoid washing the rest of you as well...
Good news! The Internet gods have spoken, and turns out, we've been showering all wrong.
After doing some much-needed research on the subject, BuzzFeed found out that the idea that humans need to bathe every day is simply a myth. In fact, our daily showering habits could be doing more harm to our bodies than good. Two dermatologists confirmed that subjecting our bodies to hot water too often can dry out and irritate skin, wash away good bacteria and actually cause cracks in our skin that could make us more susceptible to infections.
If you're squirming in your seat at the news, both docs say you can take a soapy wash cloth and cleanse your important bits daily. (We'll leave that to you to decide what those are.)
So, all this to say, cuddle up under your covers and hit that snooze button a couple more times. Doctors' orders.
