Shoes from the Fall-Winter 2009 Christian Louboutin collection.
Sky-high heels are all the rage now. Is there such a thing as too high? Do you wear them?
it is high, however the arch in ones foot is actually decreased when wearing this type of heel, due to the platform at the base of the toes. it decreases the distance between the tootsies and the ground.
it decreases the reach, rather
the higher the better. I'm 5'8 and still wear the highest heels available. It makes me feel like a star!
I'm only 5'1, so the higher the better!
I love high heels! Never too high, so long as they are well made.
I'm going on 5'10 and I love high heels. If they're comfortable and well made I say go for it!
I'm a 5'3 and always worn heels, but i find that once it hits 4 inches your feet may begin to numb or cramp so 4 inch i find is the max.My humble opinon
i'd definately say, what ever's the most comfortable FOR YOU than it's all fine. but unless of course the shoes are leather or something, you should deffinately think about the animal first before you buy the shoes.
I'm very short compared to my friends. They've all got model height. So if they're sky-high then bring it. Also the platform at the front of the shoe adds extra support I find shoes that are designed like that easier to walk in rather than just a high heel and a flat front.
At 5'3 I could use the extra lift, however, the 4+ heels, as sexy at they make me feel, are not wise. Do I really want to sacrifice the beauty of my feet, possible permanently? I like to sit at the beach, wear flipflops, and we need to have beautiful feet, not bunions, GROSS! nothing sexy about those, and let's face we all have to take our shoes off sometime. So like staying out of the sun, are we the generation that will be stupid enough to not take care of our toes?
I would say about 4 inches is the max. Even though I'm 5'4, and like some extra height, i just find that 4+ inch heels are just uncomfortable after wearing them for a while.
I'd say it depends on how well you can walk in them. If you can walk on a three inch and still look hot, I'd say 5 1/2, max.
I agree with Emily! just watch out for your backs n hips ladies!!! this right here is what wears us woman down!!!!!!!!!!
The higher the better. Theres a reaso nwhy its called a "high" heel.
my opinion i love high heels. i agree with KATIEE. but i really disagree with Rae.Lindsay the higher the more bones you break. i know that if your going to your daughter's soccer game with heels your going to get looks because it isn't worth to wear heels.
i'm 5'4"..only wear model heels..2-3" when absolutley necessary..usually wear casual pants/tops and flats.
I'm 5 feet tall and I wear high heels pretty much EVERY DAY of my life!!! I love heels... and the higher, the better. I've never had any problems with my feet and from wearing any heels. Sexy high heels, I think, are the BEST accessory a girl can have!!!
I for one love healls and don't think that there could ever be a heel too high. I did pointe for 6 years, that's as high as you can get on your arch and that is why I loved it! I don't think that wearing heels is too bad for you, but if they are super high heels, I might suggest that you strech out your achiles tendon to release any pressure. As long as you take care of your feet they will take care of you...And help you rock those Sky-Highs!
I'm 5'6" and my boyfriend is 6'7". The higher the heel, the better when we go out. High heels make me feel sexy as long as I can still walk.
Being about 5' heals has been my middle name most of my life. Having had a few close calls with falling off platforms, twisting my ankles in spikes, I'm now committed to 2' heals for every day and a 3' ish for special nights out. My feet are still cute but they ache!
I am ashamed to say it, but 11 years! At the prime age of 25, I was a single mother with three small children to raise. I had just left an abusive relationship, yet was full of optimism and hope for a better future...then I met my ex.I am now 37 and ALONE. I waited 11 years before finally dumping him. Over the years I listened to so many empty promises. I ignored all the RED FLAGS...signs that he would NEVER commit. Now I am left, trying to wrap my head around why 11 years of my life are wasted. To this day, he still contacts me, hoping to reconnect...not a chance. At least without him I have a chance of meeting someone who wants to share a life with me.ALWAYS listen to your intuition! We have it for a reason.
There's no such thing as to high as long as you can pull it off, it goes with your outfit and you can walk in it. Oh yah, and keep it classy. No engine-red platform Stripper heels and mini skirts, that'll autmatically be perceived as too high, not to mention trampy.
I've been wearing 5 inch heels to the office for three months now and wore 4 inches for years before that. Despite being used to heels, the 5 inch heels did take a lot of getting used to, but are totally worth the effort for the look and feeling of confidence combined with a hint of sexiness.Outside of work I never wear lower than 3.5 inch heels - I can do anything in my high heel plimsoles that I could do in flats.Shoes without a platform look the classiest. Platforms are easier to wear, but anything over an inch thick start to look trashy.Wearing heels as high as mine all the time does take a lot of effort, but I feel my life has been enhanced by them. (I could write for hours about all the positives and advantages of heels.) I think anyone can do this if they are prepared to put the practice and effort in to it, but too many people nowadays take the easy option. Finally, I have to say that high heels don't damage your feet (I have no problems with mine). It is BADLY FITTING heels (even lower ones) that damage feet.
