A weekend camping trip: Nirvana or nightmare?
camping for sure! its a great place to bond with friends or even do a little more than bonding with a hottie!
I think camping is great, but like anything else it can be made or broken by the company you keep. Not everyone is affected by the mood of the people around them, but it's hard to feel full of fun, when someone is sulking in a tent, or stalking around in high heels asking people to carry them around (oh yeah, it's happened). With the right mindset though, your first camping trip out can set the tone for your summer!
I used to love camping when I was younger, but as I get older, I find I want my creature comforts... whether you're camping for a weekend or a week, it all comes down to an awful lot of work...
Camping is awesome. I miss doing it. So sad I can't do it anymore...
Been there, done that....don't anymore. Can't be bothered with all the "stuff" you have to bring. Give me a pre-made room and a restaurant any vacation day and I'm good to go - I don't want to be doing more work on vacation than I do at home!
Me and a group of friends went camping last weekend. The scenery was gorgeous, we super close to the lake and boating was a blast. But, as soon as we were off the water and at our campsite it wasn't exactly what I would consider a wonderful experience. The camp grounds we were in didn't even have trees... it was a big open space and the camp sites were divided by spray paint - talking about getting back to nature! ya right! the washrooms were disgusting and the people in the campsite beside us stayed up until 5am yelling and being super rowdy. To top it all off my boyfriend packed everything while I was at work on friday and he didn't pack us pillows, water or an air mattress. We slept on the floor of our tent in sleeping bags with blow up air filled pieces of plastic he claimed to be pillows. Over all the trip wasn't be best time and I was very happy to be back to civilization on sunday afternoon.
We have a trailer and I still hate regular camping. There's always work to do on the trailer to get it ready, plus it has to be packed, then unpacked. Campgrounds are noisy, crowded and way too smoky. The only camping I like is in the middle of nowhere, on our 1/2 section in Saskatchewan with thousands of migrating snow geese, Canadian geese and other birds on a nearby lake; deer and coyotes wandering by.
camping is a good thing where we can enjoy with our friends.======================================davidcamper trailers
