The Dog Blog: Google Takes The Lead – Part 4
We’ve reached the final clip in Google’s web series, Google Takes The Lead, with At The End of My Leash’s host, Brad Pattison. So far in the series, we’ve covered a lot of the basics: pulling, jumping and taking control. Now it’s time for Google to have a little fun!
In this final installment, Brad shows how to properly praise a dog for their good behaviour and for a good walk or training session. I was always inclined to use treats, or pet her repeatedly on the head but here he shows a different technique that you too can use on your four-legged friend.
I have to say, after we filmed the session I was so eager to start training, the proper way, with Google. It really inspired me to get everyone involved in consistent methods of training for her. My mother, husband and I have since worked with one of Brad’s recommended trainers to get additional one-on-one training so we’re all on the same page when it comes to working with Google. The key is really what he says – consistency.
She continues to mature, as do we, and we know with ongoing regimens she’ll be a future Brad grad soon enough! Hope you enjoyed the series and check back next week as I give you the low-down on Google preparing for baby to arrive.
