Lookin' Local For Your Activewear
As we approach spring, I’ve been thinking a lot about refreshing my spring wardrobe. Not only do I have to look for spring business casual wear, I also have to refresh my active wear wardrobe. Fortunately, I don’t have to look very far as I’ve been focusing my search on local, Canadian-designed yoga and workout wear.
Sandra Maniago is the president of Loko Sport, located in London, Ontario. She has designed a line of active/lifestyle wear that is stylish, fitted, and multifunctional. Not only can you wear the line of clothing for the trip to the gym, but you’ll find yourself wearing it to work, out with friends, or whatever comes up, without looking like a tomboy.
The clothes are pretty and stylish but make me feel confident and strong. The seams flatter the body, fit well, and have a unique quality to them as they are not the usual sportswear you would find at your local sports store. Some of the awesome qualities that I love about these clothes are the supportive, breathable tank linings, adjustable straps, and non-elastic waistbands. The line includes tanks, bras, jackets, T-shirts, pants, capris, and dresses.
My favourite is the String Tank. It has a gathered neckline and very flattering shoulders and back. This design would work great with your jeans or for a low-impact workout at the gym. It’s the best of both worlds. The bra liner is very comfortable and the material is breathable, wicks away moisture, and has 50+ UV Protection.
Loko Sport’s spring line is now available to order on their website or you can find them at these retailers. You’ll find a variety of products in beautiful colours that are geared towards the vibrant seasons ahead of us.
