Yoga Meets World
Ever found yourself leaving yoga class feeling more stressed out than when you arrived? With career issues, boy drama and financial problems taking its toll on your conscience, just when you should be relaxing in savasana? If so, there's a new novel to help put things in perspective.
Stuck in Downward Dog is a witty tale of Toronto gal and yoga enthusiast, Mara Brennan, and her quest for inner peace. After being dumped days before her 28th birthday, and left to cope with mounting unpaid bills and a nightmarish job as a receptionist at a cosmetic surgery clinic, she comes to learn that "It's not about getting the guy, it's about getting a life."
This story is the first novel for Chantel Simmons, whose long list of writing credits includes work for HGTV, Elle Canada and a current role as publisher and editor-in-chief of Elevate, a Canadian cosmetic enhancement magazine. And recently, The National Post named her on its list of "Ones to Watch" for 2007.
The book is available at Chapters/Indigo on May 28th, or you can pre-order them here.
