I am absolutely in love with this show. I can't help but make sure I watched every episode. However, I couldnt even imagine being so unprepared for my wedding with a week or so to go like these couples. Jane is definitely an angel for taking them in and helping them.

I dont know if Jane ever gets any of these comments but I love the show. My fiancee and I are on a fixed budget but we want to have a nice wedding. Seems though that our families hate each other and we have run into mulitple issues. I didnt see anywhere to download an application for the show but I would love to hear back.. michelle.keleher@live.ca

I noticed in the credits following the airing of the episode Wedding of a Life Time, May 25.09, 9:00 p.m. ... "In Memory of Shawn Brannon". I offer heartfelt condolences to his wife and family.

I noticed that "Wedding of a Life Time" was dedicated to the memory of the groom, Shawn Brannon. They seemed like a nice couple and I was saddened to see that Shawn had succumbed to cancer so soon after their very touching wedding.

I really want her to be part of my special day but now everyone thinks that she doesnt want to take part because all she is doing is complaing about money!!!!

How should I handle this? I dont want to loose our friendship, she means the world to me! Please help.

Im having Bridesmaid drama???????????Please advise!!

Not a huge fan of the current tv/movie culture but rather enjoy watching Jane work. This is a lady who I would love to meet over tea - she is cultured, funny, wise and kind.

I suspect she could handle herself anywhere with the dignity and poise many of us older ladies wish they had.

My sister is getting married in August, THIS August. She just booked the Hall but has everything else to do. If I do anything they feel as if I am taking over. I would love her to have the perfect day but I am nervous that there is so much to do and I don't think they realize it. What should I do, I need to know fast there is very little time??

Thanks,

My friend Jenny has been going through a two-year custody battle with her ex. She is planning on being married on August 15th in Bradenton, Fl (Tampa Bay) to a man she met through an internet dating service, who lives in Virginia. She is waiting for the judge's permission to move herself and her daughter out of state, she just got a full-time job (which was part of the ex-husband's demands) which she will start as soon as she can get to Virginia.
She NEEDS HELP!!

She is moving to Virginia from Florida
She has a 7-year old daughter to take with her (if the judge gives permission)
She has a wedding to plan in Florida while she is moving to Virginia
She has a new full-time job waiting for her in Virginia
All this in less than 4 weeks!!!!

Jane.. she needs you!!

Hi Everyone,

I am the bride from Wedding of a Lifetime. I've read some of your comments and I just wanted to say thank you for all of your nice thoughts and condolences. We lost Shawn on November 3, 2009 and have just today scattered his ashes at our cottage which is the place he loved the most in the world. Having Wedding SOS help us with our wedding was the greatest move we made, and I will be forever grateful for the show and footage that I have to show our son in the future. Jane is wonderful and we are still great friends today. My final thoughts for everyone is to remember that life is short and you must live it to its fullest.

Love to you all.

Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your and Shawn's wedding, Jennifer. I was saddened that your husband passed away but happy that you were able to live out a dream with him. Note to Slice - Please bring Jane back to continue her good work with unprepared couples everywhere. I would continue to watch her show even after I get married at the end of this month. The show has influenced me to not become a bridezilla and to be more organized with all the details that my fiance just does not have the time for. Budget or not - the end result is that I will become the wife of a man I have loved for many years and if this means I do not get fancy chairs and covers with bows, so be it. Good luck to us all. Hopefully, we will see Jane again.

On a show I saw this morning (AfCan couple, Guildwood Village, Jane stranded in London), Jane, at one moment, had a bubble-thought saying "Here, here". Surely she was thinking "Hear, hear".

BTW, enjoy the show. You tell 'em, Jane!

Hey Jane, just wondering why you never mention the DJ on your show did you know that wedding guests remember the entertainment more than anything else? At the end when you say everyone had a good time it was more than likely they were talking about dancing and good music.

Hi Jane
I am getting Married in June 2010, and we are having our reception in golf course I was wondering if you have any ideas,?? that maybe we can use, I feel like I am running out of time. I have tried getting my cake ordered and the baker that I went to see told me that I have to ordered 2 months ahead, same with flowers, so I feel like I have my hands tight and can't do nothing. What to do??

I just finished watching Sean and Polly's wedding and her her dad decided to show up after being a jerk. It made me so happy to see that he would take the big step and show up even if he hadn't thought he wanted to be there. It wasn't about him and he decided to make it about her. Very happy to see!

PS. I'm getting married in August 2010 and I wish I could have you there! I think I'll have it all put together in time but it sure is scary!

Dear Jane, I just watched an episode about a bride marrying a termanaly ill groom! What You did forthem touched my heart so deeply , I had to write & tell You what a special person you are! You have restored my faith in people. There still are some wonderful people in the world , and You qualify! I have never written to a show before , but this time I had to !!! Thanks again for making me cry, in a good way. Lee

I only found this blog because I just watched the episode with Shaun and Jennifer and cried a tear after reading the ending credits when it said "In memory of Shaun Brannon".

Jennifer, I'm sorry for your loss. I'm not married but can't imagine losing someone you love so young. If it was me, I would have been very happy to have gotten married, enjoyed the wedding with my spouse. I'm sure it meant so much to you. I could see it in your face (on the show).

I watch the show and I'm not even a bride yet. Although older, I suppose I still have an interest in getting married one day but enjoy Jane and her wedding couples.

I just watched this episode last night. Jane, you went above and beyond for this couple. What they had was the "true" meaning of love. All Jennifer cared about was Shaun, not herself for their wedding day just him. I'm happy they got married. Like the saying goes, "it's better to have love and lost, than not loved at all. RIP Shaun

I love watching this show wish I could have a fairy godmother help me with my wedding as it’s becoming a nightmare, but we live in a rural part of Manitoba and. My fiancé is expecting me to do all the planning and money got tight as I recently had to go off work due to back injury on top of that I have to lose weight. I am glad my wedding is May 22 2010. I am making all my own party favors, wedding bouquets for myself and my bridesmaids, My own wedding cake as it needs to be gluten, wheat, dairy, nut and sesame seed free been experimenting and found one cake I really liked need to make few more as fiancé did not like the cherries in the one I made. Our wedding is unique as we are combining dog sled and fishing in it. My future father in law is building me a fish pond where we can hang a dog sled harness up above with bells on it so if anyone at the reception wants to see the bride and groom kiss they throw coins into the pond and get to ring the bell. The money we earn will go to the cancer society. We designed our own invites and they were sent out in October. I have two cake topers one is being made and the other my sister will pick up for me in Calgary. Anyhow I could go on and on of the dream wedding I hope to have. I must say this is my second marriage but my fiancé first his families been waiting 47 years for this so it’s bigger then we planned at first. Well enough said thanks for being there.

In the episode shown last night (Sunday, 2nd May) the bride wanted a certain song for the dance with her dad but Jane couldnt figure out what it was. Dana sang it in 1970 Eurovision Song Contest and it is called All Kinds of Everything - and if her dad had it played at his wedding why didnt he remember it? Anyway - its still a great song.

Hey There!!!

Please play our Episode #5061 as much as you can. We both work with the public and multiple times a day we always get numerous people asking when our show "5061" will be on again. Most people missed it and we can't really do viewings at our house everyday for everybody.

It has humour, heartbreak, culture, sadness and requited love. What else more can you ask for a tv show to captivate an audience. From the few ppl that have seen the show deliver "It was an Awesome happy ending to a love story"

Thank you in advanced & Cheerios!

I wish Jane could help us with our wedding on August 28, 2010. I went to pick up my silk flowers and they look like someone bought them at the dollar store and just threw them together. My family is unable to make it due to complicated situations. This is supposed to be the best day of my life and all it is causing is drama between my family and i and my fiance and i. Please Jane help me.

I love your show. I watch all the time. I love it when you sweep in and fix things. I live in a very small town in Ontario called Schreiber. I'm not getting married soon but my boyfriend and i have been talking and making lists of who to invite and things we will need to do, like you do. But i Would like to know do you know of any florist or photographer in the thunder bay area i could call when the time comes? Also any wedding boutiques that are not that expensive? Hope your show stays on t.v for a long time, i love it.! Thank you

My fiancee and I are getting married Saturday, August 28th 2010. We organized a charity motorcycle ride called The Breast Ride Ever on Saturday, July 10, 2010 and seeing that Jane has been seen riding a harley would love to pass along to her one of our ride shirts.
We are incorporating our 2009 harley Fat Bob into our wedding decorations.
Our website is www.thebreastrideever.com feel free to check it out.

My favorite episode of Wedding SOS is "Ashley & Niall." I have watched this one every time it is aired. Ms. Dayus-Hinch does a wonderful job of combining and including family traditions, customs and meaningful moments: the bride's parents renewing their vows and the Sword Ceremony honouring Niall's Scottisah herritage. Beautiful!

Jane is an amazing hilarious lady. I wish she would be able to help us . I am a full time college student, a mom of 4 young children and im taking care of my mother who has terminal brain cancer who was only given 1 to 2 yrs to live and no help with wedding costs except what my husband to be and myself can save from assistance and his part time low paying job. We are frustrated and im really upset thinking we may not be able to pull this off on July 15th, 2011 . I have seen some amazing weddings and dreams come true on SOS and have cried alot of tears over the beautiful weddings and beautiful couples.
Please keep up the good work Slice and Jane and im looking forward to meeting Jane at the Missasauga bridal show.

What a wonderful resource! I am an intuitive healer and offer my services working with couples around their wedding. I look psycically at conflicts, confusion, stresses that come up, do healing work where it is needed, helping couples to get clear of the pressures and expectations from outside which can keep them from enjoying eachother and the experience. Hi Jane,

I watch your show religiously and I see the struggle these brides are having. I work for a DJ company in Hamilton Ontario Canada and lately we have been receiving a lot of calls from brides who's DJ's have canceled. I feel so bad for them and was wondering if you could put us on your list of DJ Contacts. Thank you and hope to hear from you soon.

Sincerely,

I just watched "wedding of a lifetime" I am so happy that your VERY SPECIAL DAY was able to happen. I am so sorry for the loss Jennifer, their son, and their family has suffered, It is a good thing tho Jennifer (if you ever read this) that Shawn had 3 best men, because I am sure that they will see that your son and yourself are cared for and that they can assist you in helping your lil guy grow up remembering daddy and how faithful a companion and a friend he was. Your in my prayers. Best wishes to you and yours.

Hi again all,

I just wanted to take this opportunity to again thank you for all of your kind thoughts and well wishes. I'm thrilled that so many of you enjoyed our episode and I always find myself watching it whenever it is on. I swear I've seen it about 500 times and I still cry. It was a wonderful experience and I'm so fortunate to have had Jane there to help us make it happen.

I miss Shawn like crazy every day, but time does heal and my son and I are doing really well. I love visiting this site and knowing how many people are able to share our special day with us through Wedding SOS. It means a lot to me. Thank you,

Fish Wedding Episode: honestly, what in the 'eff is WRONG with these people, especially Greg?? I feel so sad for Aimee that she's actually going to marry such a loser and don't even get me started on her insensitive, ill-mannered mother who actually thinks it's ok to wear her sleazy wedding dress to her own daughter's wedding? Or her future nightmare-in-law needing to be the focus of the day??
There are, clearly, some serious issues going on here that will affect Aimee and her children for the rest of their lives. This episode was not even close to being funny or entertaining. It, sadly, revealed something very wrong with all parties concerned.

SHANNON & BLAIR

After watching this episode, I now know why Shannon's family refused to attend their daughter's wedding. Blair has serious anger issues he is verbally and emotionally abusive. If I was related to Shannon I wouldn't attend either. I think that those two had bigger problems than dresses and bridal party issues. I wish Jane could have addressed that. Watching that episode made me sad, I hope Shannon is ok and he hasn't diminished her self confidence.

For Jennifer Brannon,
I hope you are doing well a year after losing Shawn. Your wedding was beautiful and exactly the kind of wedding everyone should have, full of love and support from family and friends, and not about all the material stuff too many brides fall victim to today. You are a very strong woman and I wish you all the best in your future. God bless.

Jane,
Great show and for the most part you're right on top of it... but it drives me nuts that you always wear your corsage UPSIDE DOWN. Flowers are meant to be worn the way they grow. Flower head up, stems down. Just like the way boutonnieres are worn.
Please Jane, turn it around! Julia

The episode with Hailey and Tyler - WOW! usually we love this show and my Fiance and I watch it all the time together, but this episode was upsetting to say the least. The wedding was nice and could have been perfect if only they'd replaced the bride with someone much more deserving. There was only one person whom had the attitude problem and it certainly was not the junior bridesmaid, as she was simply adorable. We love Wedding SOS and Jane - such a fun, creative and helpful wedding planning team! Go Jane!

I am watching the episode of April 6th, and heard the commentator state that the bride had a dilemma about "who was giving her away".

In this day and age, why is it that women need to be given away? Today's women is not owned! This term is so derogatory and it is time that this phrase be laid to rest.

A son is never given away at marriage. Why should a daughter?

Perhaps a better phrase if wanted, should be - who presents this woman (or bride's name) for marriage.

Hi,my name is Pauline and I have an employee who has been with her High School sweetheart for 8 years and has been engaged for a year and a half. Her wedding has been planned since their engagement which matches the first day they set eyes on each other August 7th.2003. They are so much in love and respect each other to no end. There is only one problem the Bride to be has no plans no dress and no interest in planning a wedding. The only thing she wants is to marry. If it was up to her she would elope but her fiance's dream is to have a fairytale wedding. We work in an office of six women 5 of which are happily married. They are a beautiful inspiring young couple. We bug her daily to start planning but she really does'nt have the means and that's why I think she keeps putting it off. Please consider this bright young couple for your T.V. show. Her fiance would be over the moon and I know she would so much appreciate all your help. Thank you!!!!!!!!!!

I stopped watching this show after the "Wedding in the Big Apple" episode. I'm prety sure it was this episode (I may be wrong) where the Bride and Groom had only 4 days till the wedding and NOTHING done. For their procrasination, selfishness, and ungratefulness, they got a Kleinfeld Wedding Dress, a cake from bakery that has done cakes for celebrities, and a great venue. SERIOUSLY?! This show just rewards people who are lazy! There are many deserving couples who work hard to plan a wedding - and THEY SHOULD BE THE ONES REWARDED. I understand that sometimes the couples have unfortunate circumstances, but this couple was unfortunately just obnoxious.

Hi Jane. I am a 23 year old recent graduate in the dental field and my fiancé is a 25 year old OPP officer. We have bought a house over a year ago, have a puppy, and now are engaged. We're are truly best friends and cannot wait to get married, start a family, and spend the rest of our lives together. We were originally planning our wedding for August 18t 2012 until we were faced with a devastating dilemma. Planning a dream wedding was already difficult for me to imagine because my father can no longer 'walk' me down the isle or 'dance' with me as I have dreamed. My Dad who was a full time firefighter for 25 years was hurt in a fire 8 years ago, leaving him paralyzed from the waist down. Throughout the past 8 years my Dad, Mother, Brother, and myself have stuck together to get through everything. It wasn't easy. However, we were all finally in 'good' place. That was until on July 30th 2011 (6 weeks ago) my Mother was in a life threatening car accident. She sustained many injuries including a broken nose, broken ribs, punctured kidney, collapsed lung, fractured neck, and the scariest thing- a severe brain injury. We have also found out my Mom is paralyzed on her right side. We have all been by her side for the past 6 weeks and we are told her prognosis is unclear. This is where this message comes into play. My fiancé and I would like to have a ceremony at the hospital on November 12th 2011 so my Mom can be there too. Then we would like to have a reception with all the works. That is only 2 months away and we need help! Not only do I watch every wedding show known to man but, I adore Jane and know she could help us. ***Live, laugh, love*** (My Moms motto)

First & Foremost, Your show is absolutely a Godsend to many. Your ability to tackle some of the most challenging of Brides, Grooms & their families is a true testament to your passion. ( plus your puppy is precious). Each time my fiance' Marc & I watch your show, we both say, "Wish we had her as a Wedding Fairy God-mother". It is Our 2nd wedding to one another, our problem? FOUR FAMILIES! I am a child of divorce, and he is adopted. My mother wants and has had nothing to do with my biological father's side & refuses too. He( biological father) is now deceased, but they are important to my son. As well as he and I have made peace. Mom has also said, why do the whole wedding thing, why do you need to walk down the aisle you were married already. UGH. I was married young and by the justice of the peace, I want my dad ( step-dad) to walk me down the aisle to Mr. RIGHT! Not to mention they are all from the states. My fiance's family (whom are all in Canada but spread apart)are open to being together, but he is super shy about things and is quite indecisive, double UGH! There is a standing joke that my Matron of Honor and I are the ones getting married. My first wish would just to be able to have your presence in pulling off this wedding on our milk budget ! it has been a difficult road we have traveled to be together, a long distance relationship, moving, health issues and job switching have all been easy compared to trying to placate the masses. SO please never stop doing your show, it is truly my inspiration that there are people out there that doing something above and beyond with amazing class and dedication. God Bless for many more successes. SIncerely, Nancylynn, girlinlove@live.ca

Just wanted to add jennifer that I also lost 2 sisters to cancer within 16 months of eachother. They were my bestfriends and I miss them so dearly. However knowing that they are watching over me and my little family keeps me going. So I hope you know that you have you very own special guardian angel keeping watch over you and your precious son. Your story was very touching and you are an amazing lady. I once again wish you a happy healthy life and may god bless you

'Why are so many wedding dress shows on Slice\x3f They\x27re a waste of time and money. People are in debt and should be putting money towards a house and retirement. So boring. No one cares what the bride, bridesmaids, and mother-of-the bride is wearing. It\x27s all promotion for companies, products, and designers related to weddings.'
