Dr. Dave:
Dr. Dave graduated from the University of Western Ontario Medical School in 1989 and began practising medicine with his father. Dr. Dave is currently on staff at St. Joseph's Health Centre where he plays a leadership role in the areas of Family Medicine, Obstetrics, and Continuing Medical Education. Dr. Dave continues to run a busy general medical practice and is also a husband and proud father of three young children. Dr. Dave joins Slice’s The Mom Show as Chief Medical GP to discuss medical issues about you and your kids. Dr. Dave is not your average doc and also gives women the unique insight into "what men really think."
Nanny Robina:
Robina has been a nanny and governess for more than 20 years. Robina's experience caring for children—from newborns to teenagers—makes her the "ultimate" nanny Canadians have been waiting for. Originally from Britain, she landed in Canada a few years ago. Prior to that, she cared for children in Britain, Lebanon, the U.S., and Greece. Her love of both children and travel give her the worldly parenting advice all moms are craving. Robina's straight-talking advice will give parents the tools they need to help raise happy, healthy, and respectful children. "Remain flexible," Robina says, "but routines are important. If it's raining outside, let's put on our boots and splash around in some puddles". As The Mom Show’s resident nanny, Robina is on hand to give tips and techniques on hot button issues like discipline, manners, play time, meal time, and sleep time. The healthy development of your children is her prime concern with a hands-on and humorous approach.
Peter Papapetrou:
Peter Papapetrou is a well-respected and talented stylist. Based in Toronto, Peter has studied fashion design and while doing so, was able to develop his own line of custom designed eveningwear and bridal collections.
Peter has 15 years of fashion experience, working with some of Canada's leading retailers. In the past five years he has styled designer collections, which include Hugo Boss and Hilary Radley, attended fabric buys at The Premiere Vision Show in Paris and collaborated on special events/fundraising campaigns for MAC & Fashion Cares.
Heather Smillie:
Heather Smillie has been designing fabulous interiors since graduating from the International Academy of Merchandising and Design in Interior Design. Heather began her career working in the Decoration and Design Department for IKEA specializing in in-store displays. She has also prop styled for Style at Home Magazine, one of Canada's leading décor magazines. Heather continued her career working with the Sabados Group and Robitaille Interiors on various design projects. Heather also undertook the challenge of living and designing overseas in Costa Rica for several years. She has worked significantly in the television production world as a stylist for HGTV's This Small Space and as the co-host on Antique Style. As the proud mother of Jackson, she knows what it takes to design for the needs of hectic households, busy families, and kid spaces. She also has great ideas on simplifying your life through creative design projects.
Dr. Karyn Gordon:
Dr. Karyn Gordon has a Bachelor in Psychology, a Masters in Counseling, and a Doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy. She is also an acknowledged authority on parent/teen issues, motivation, relationships/ and self esteem. She is the author of the Analyse Yourself and Analyse Your Teen CD series and the host of her own weekly radio show. Dr. Karyn joins The Mom Show on Slice to discuss and answer women's most intimate questions and problems. No topic is off limit with Karyn and her non-threatening, straight-talking advice is invaluable. She's the therapist we all would want to go to, if we only had the guts.
