Arthur Mendonça is one of Canada’s most celebrated young designers. Originally from São Miguel, Portugal, he now lives and works in Toronto. In 2002, he received his BAA in fashion design from Ryerson University. During his studies he apprenticed at NYBased Design in New York City. Arthur launched his own line for autumn 2003 under the Arthur Mendonça label. Arthur’s collections are known for their vibrant feminine energy. He uses luxurious fabrics, striking silhouettes and expert tailoring combined to deliver bold, polished and sexy clothes.
