Biddell - Project Runway Canada Winner

The end is here, and so am I. Nobody left on this runway but myself. I just had to say goodbye to my last two competitors, and now the judges are telling me they want to see what else I can do. They believe I have a strong point of view, and an innate sense of style. When they found out I had never built a collection before, that was the moment I felt I might take the prize. I could feel the judges simultaneously think “How the f**K did he do that?” It felt awesome to know you are exactly where you are supposed to be. To be honest with you, fashion is what I know. I love playing with the shapes of a female body, wrapping her up in rich detail, following the curves a woman, using her body as the blueprint and working around it. It just gets me off!

Honestly, the coolest part of this whole thing was working in a room with 11 other designers. Each one of us had skills and it blew my mind every day seeing what the other designers were coming up with. Not only amazing designers, but amazing people.

Lucian Matis, you know you have an unbelievable passion for fashion. You live and breathe fashion and beauty. Your work is detailed and finished in every way. It's been an honor working next to you.

MG, What issss going on?! Where do I start? You are so creative I want to puke. Fresh, hip, playful, aware, and damn sexy are just a few ways of describing MG. She’s gonna rock the fashion world for years to come. In the words of MC Hammer “Can't touch this.”

Stephen Wong, you won the hearts babe. You kept it real from day one. You have a compassionate soul and I know you will pass on your love to everyone you meet.

Shernett Swaby, you keep going down the road you’ve paved for yourself. No one can take that away from you. Own it!

Kendra Francis, thanks for kickin my ass when I was out of line. It's hard to find good people to keep me in line and you get all my respect. Peace.

Megan Fischer, hilarious Megan, when the hell are we going out dancing!? We need to be cuttin up a rug! See you in China, babe.

Miss Carlie Wong, my wife, my love. I wanna dance with somebody! With somebody who loves me! Ha ha, yeah gay bars! Holy drive by cab fans! Ha ha that was too much!! OMG IT'S CARLIE WONG! AAAAHHHH! P.S. look out for her fall 2008 line.

Michael Hatley. Three... two... one... Stare! I dont think anyone has made me laugh as much as you. Seriously for sure. Like really. Stay in love for the rest of your life!!! You've got a lot to give babe.

Sofia aka Sonia. Momma! How do I live?! I missed you from the day you left us. I still miss you! I wanna take those heels out dancing. On stage somewhere??? He he he.

Lincoln, I hope you find a way to be your own boss. I know it's possible, you've got the skills and now you've got the break. Just hit it head on! Don’t worry about breaking a bone or two on the way.

Darin, I'll see you in Van I'm sure. Wish you could have had more of a chance to show off your skills. We both know you've got ’em.

Brian Bailey, you da man cool guy. Thank you.

Rita, thanks for the challenge.

Shawn, thanks for your support.

Iman, thanks for believing in me.

Well, thats it, that's all.

This is Evan Biddell.

peace

Congrats and well done Biddell!!! We knew you'd won as soon as we saw your collection, it was the best, hands down!

You did a wonderful job, and I'm glad you won. I think you are refreshing and unaffected. Lucien was brilliant, but lost me with his arrogance. I was rooting for you or MG (who disappointed me with her collection). What on earth does that first person mean about being an embarrassment?? When you establish a name for yourself internationally you will do us proud.

So as well as your win, take pride in the fact that educated, older, more thoughtful person who doesn't use toilet language in their comments, thinks you are a real breath of fresh air.

Congratulations Biddell!

You and Carlie were my favourites from the beginning. It's nice to see someone with originality win versus Lucian who copies every other style in the industry already.

Canadian fashion needed you.

Enjoy your prize and make Canada proud!

I'm addicted to Biddell as well, although I think all three finalists were amazing! LOVED the freshness of Biddell's designs and the unusual details. Go for it, Biddell! Show 'em all what you can do!

Wow, people can be so mean and nasty - commenting negativity, 'sour losers'? just give the guy a hand for his effort and congratulate him. I loved all three finalists. They each had something unique and loved their collections for different reasons. In the end, I agreed to Iman's point in why she picked Biddell. We should support him. Lucian and MG are sure to be successes as well, if not already. Its not the end here, just the beginning...so congrats!!

Personally I liked MG's collection better...but I did believe yours was amazing!!! O_O
I understand why they picked you, and I know you will have an amazing career in fashion ^_^
Always remember to keep going, because all your fans at least know you have the talent to keep going for many years to come
I also think Carlie was robbed in this competition and shoulda been top 3 with you and MG ^_^

Out of the 3 remaining designers, your stuff was the most original. You lost a lot of support from viewers because even when you were flying high, you consistently dissed your competition - and it made you look very small and immature. Even at the final judging, you were still ridiculing your competitors - and I have to give props to the IMAN for calling you on it. Try to be proud of your own work without pissing on other people's inspirations. Kisses!

I am very pleased that you won, I picked you right from the start, your ideas are magnificent, fun and new.I have been a designer since I was 5 dreaming that one day I would be one of the best in Canada , do not let people ruin it for you.Project Runway has given me a spark to design again. Im so happy that you are self taught, your lucky I did not make it past the on camera interview , I would have pissed you off more than the other competitors, just kidding I know you have a good heart ,follow it.

Ah biddel. Ignore the haters. I have to admit I found your personality obnoxious at times. Your immaturity is annoying at best...but..being nice is not what this competition is about...so I digress.
We watched the show last night, and when your collection came out..we were staring wide mouthed. It was amazing amazing amazing. I SO want a hooded cape/jacket now. It was origional, fun, and actually looked good on female bodies. We both looked at eachother and said "he's the winner, and if the judges don't see that they're blind AND stupid".
I loved Luciens work too...but yours was the collection that make people just stare in awe. You could see it in the audience, and at the judges table. You rocked it. You deserved to win. And BC is proud.

Clearly these negative ppl don't know, understand or are not in the fashion industry.
Amazing.
Self taught (unbelievable)!
Ingenious.
Original.
You are like the next McQueen...keep it up. Your skin is thick and you know you can do it.
so proud, REAL evolution in Canadian fashion.

Laura and Rita's "Mom" -

First of all, Rita's mother didn't write that, as few people over 25 use the word "diss" (unless they're rappers or 20-something wannabes). The same with "congrats." Hardly a word used by someone who is likely in her 70's.

Second of all, Evan's 23 and some of his behaviour was immature and disrespectful - he's 23, young and new to the fashion world on this level. TO be expected.

Rita on the other hand, is old - she said so herself while evaluating Biddels collection in the final episode. With decades of experience in the fashion business at this level, she should have the maturity of her position and experience to rise above a personality conflict and personal bias to recongize fashion talent instead of belittling Evan and his work at every opportunity. Rita should have recused herself when it became clear early on that she was a Lucian-ite and her objectivity and ability to fairly asses the remaining designers became severely compromised.

Lucian's collection was beautiful, but not noteworthy and certainly but not worthy of tears. I feel there was something else behind Rita's tears (perhaps something in her private life, like a death in the family, an illness or something like that), because it felt much more personal than professional.

This competition was Lucian's to lose. He won the challenge to have Iman wear his design at L'Oreal fashion week, and had he used that dress as an inspiration, he could have created a really interesting and evocative collection...and won. Instead, he played it safe...and lost.

And this competition was Evan's to win...and he did. He took the risks, went out to the edge, dug down and created something exciting, new and buzzworthy.

I guarantee the after-show crowd was buzzing about his collection and no one else's.

That coat - I loved that coat! Congratulations!

Biddell - I just loved your collection. It had everything. It was fun, upbeat, striking and shocking. I have no sense of fashion whatsoever, but I know what I like. While my body is not made to wear any of these clothes due to too much indulgence in fine food and wine, I can appreciate what others could and would wear.

Make us proud that you were chosen. Even though your discipline has been questioned, I truly believe you will realize the tremendous gift you have been given and go for it.

Congrats Biddell, I hope you plan on re-playing the PRC footage and incorporate some of the judges/ expert’s advice for moving forward in your designs. You won and now have a great learning and growing opportunity granted to you…..Do not screw it up! The big question some of us have, can you make PRC and their viewers proud??? Biddell, I think you use your age as an excuse for immaturity, you are a grown adult so get over it… you are not a child…24 y.o / 2007. …Let’s not be naive.... for many folks younger than you are absolutely aware of special prize you just earned. The question is….Can you create a superb line of clothing for the next generation of fashion hopefuls?
Well, PRC & Iman have just rolled the dice for that ending.... good luck Biddell!

cussing out and hating on biddell isn't going to change the fact that he won!! i thought all three designers were amazing and wanted either MG or Biddell to win so either way im happy!! instead of bring someone down congratulate them even if u don't think they shuold have won... humility and humbleness is the best!!!

Carly:

The reason Rita was crying was because she is a real person. With real feelings. Lucian's spirit of the moment moved her.
People do cry for different reasons.

(Now that even brings tears to my eyes.)

CONGRATULATION BIDDELL,I liked you from the start. The funny thing is a couple a days ago, before the airing of the final show, I had a dream about you. You were sitting in this restuarant and I keep looking at you. Then I said as you were leaving, I know you from PRC & you smiled. So I say , did you win? You replied, not suppose to say, but yes.I smiled and said congratualtions & then you left.

This is not about Lucian or Biddell or who was better. Biddell won fair and square but what "rita's mom" and I are trying to say is that his attitude (up until the end) shows his biggest personality flaw and that is what will bring him down. All three finalists where great but its really about who will make a mark and who has the entire package.

I have to say I was never sure about your work... I mean, I liked it, but never THAT mutch, but you collection??? WAW greaaaaaaaat job, really. I was blown awaay. I know lots of people doesnt like the fact that you won, last minute guy, no school, big attitude, but I think you diserved it! Say all you want about Biddell, all you who sound so perfect.
We all have our flaws and processes of growth. Respect them.
And stop calling other people 'young ugly bitter over-opinionated sea-hags.'
Conventional wisdom tells you, especially as our elders, that that kind of talk says more about the person saying them that they person supposedly being talked about.
So there.

You are super talented. Did you desrve to win? No! You had two show stoppers: the leather jacket and the dress, even better than your Hope dress. What you did not have was a collection. After a while it looked like one Beyoncé outfit after another. All you added were pleats and weaving. Then there's an ultra glamorous dress. I don't understand how the judges fault MG for disorg and Lucian for lack or originality and not you. Don't screw up for Lucian's sake.

I just wanna say sumthing about the whole marijuana thing. I dont see why people are making such a big deal about it, drugs or not, biddell's designs are fantastic! Also, marijuana isnt even bad for you, it helps cure cancer cells.. the only thing it does to you is mellows you out and makes you tired. So stop tryna make him sound like he's this big druggy that's gunna spend all his money on drugs!! Plus he's cute too, so it doesn't matter!!!! Your wonderful Biddell <3 love your designs :)

Finally! After Carlie had to go the show seemed to become poor and boring. But Biddell made my day(s), and I haven´t seen so much new silhouettes since my favourite designer Vivienne Westwood came up in the 80s. You rock, boy!
Please give a long hug to adorable Carlie, because I can´t do that from Europe.
OMG, fashion is still interesting, thank you.

My apologies.

To Rita and Rita's real mom.

Seriously; I just wanted to bring some attention to our young designers. I want them to know that the fashion industry can be so rewarding in many ways. And that Biddell's attitude toward Rita was downright "rude". And if he acted that way "in real life"...great talent or not...he would be out of work very quickly.
Being young or inexperienced is not an excuse that is going to cut it.
It just won't measure up!

FYI. I do adore Rita and I think she is a wonderful judge and right on the mark.

see you next year!!

....hi.....do you actually read all these comments ??? i didnt think so.....well, guess what i;m about to say..congrats ;) i absolutely loved your collection for the loreal fashion week...and also wanna say THANK YOU! you inspire me to not let go of my dream to be a designer, its hard theses dayz to not let yourself get influenced and pushed into the corner by the whole mental picture ppl have of the fashion world, when really its not what they think it is, until they try it themselves. ppl expect to much, and its hard not to judge your own work without thinking if everyone else will like it.
soo you have given me that extra push and confidence, makes me believe in myself....

hope you actually will read this one day....

I loved Biddell's collection and I support its win. I also enjoy smoking pot, and I bet smoking some with Biddell would be good times all around.

While of course my opinions are based on the highly selective clips and editing arrangement shown on television... I was also uncomfortable watching some of Biddell's behavior. The way he taunted Lucien (such as about the doilies) was very difficult to watch. During the announcement of the winner, he was so disrespectful to the entire process--especially leaning in to Lucien as Iman spoke. I can only speculate as to his motivations. My instinct is that he lacked self-control and was being defensive of his own insecurities, but of course I'm only guessing based on the small fraction of footage shown, not on actually knowing Evan as a person.

I imagine that the "realities" of reality television could be pretty difficult to exist under, and maybe that has to do with the disrespect also. Still, he did sign up for it, he didn't leave, and he did take the hundred grand.

Which I think the collection deserved, regardless of my or anyone's opinion of the designer himself or his methods.

Biddell,
I worked 14 hours yesterday, but still stayed up to see you win. (I knew you would) I know very little about fashion but what I do know is art. And your clothes my friend are a wondrous work of art. I see it this way. When you look at one of Monet's paintings in a book, it's really nice, but you don't see the depth or the true color of the painting. When you see the original you can see the brush strokes and the true painting. Your designs are the real deal!!! Monet up close and personal. Way to go young man!!!!

Why is it that people cannot just let people enjoy their success? Lucian is an amazing designer with a lot of drive and he also deserved to win, but Biddell had a vision and didn't put grandma doilies all over people's butts. He may have been rude and annoying, but his clothes were awesome and that is the point!
Way to go Biddell, work it and take advantage of the opportunity that has been given to you.

Evan, where do I start?

Congratulations, I've always know you were amazing and now so many other people get to realize it. Everyone single piece was superb (I'll take one of each). I love how you've turned 'fashion conscious' into 'conscious fashion'... that material was truly gorgeous. Iman is right, you truly are a visionary in fashion and I can't wait for you to fly.

Congratulations, Biddell.

I cannot say I thought you deserved to win, not for lack of talent, but for terrible sportsmanship and horrendous behaviour.

I believe your salvation is the fact that you are so young, so the poor attitude is probably just a result of your immaturity.

You've been given an amazing change, and I hope you work hard and prove yourself worthy of it in the long run.

A diamond in th rough you may be. Time will tell.

your designs are really innovative and i totally think you deserved your win. the only problem (and i'm not sure whether or not it's because of extreme editing) is that you didn't treat the other contestants too warmly and i found you to be quite defensive and self-righteous whenever most people approached you. getting along with others is important in the fashion industry! good luck and congratulations!

Iman gets it. Hewson gets it. I get it. Fear not Rita, for positivity abounds! The future is on its way and Evan is its herald. I saw strong, beautiful, decisive women, with nods to the classics (Greek and medieval, the Clash, Annie Lennox...maybe more) who know exactly what they want coming down the Runway; Eco/Equal Rights/Justice-warriors coming to protect our world. Thanks, Heaven Evan, I've never been so proud to be "one of the Biddell girls".

Holy crap dude, did you WOW everybody on the final runway! Nothing like hot women who are dressed to kill and KNOW they are hot strutting their stuff to pumped up music....couldn't imagine the energy in that room! Good choice in Ashley...she is one beautiful woman and will go far too.

Wish you could have seen your Dad's reaction when you won. He is very proud of you.

Hope your future is as successful as last night's finale!

Biddell,

Seriously, keep your vision especially with the eco-fabric and REFUSE TO USE CHILD LABOUR. Use this opportunity to do some good in the world. I hope that just because you have a contract with Winners that doesn't mean you need to buy into the BS. Don't sell yourself short- or any of us either. It starts with people like you.

When you won the hope challenge it was because it was something you believed in. I would buy your clothes if you did the LOCAL eco-option.

Ignore all the other garbage. Your collection was cool and your approach is uniquely you, which is why it was good.

I cried with Lucian when he shed his tears with Rita, and I cried again when the reward that was rightfully his was ripped away from him. Funny thing, is that Lucian was back at Loreal Fashion Week again this year (with a KILLER collection, I might add) and even starred as the final designer that the contestants of Canada's Next Top Model stomped it out for in their season finale. If you're interested in seeing his latest work, it's available at lucianmatis.com. Breath-taking. Real talant. TRUE talant.

I've searched all over for Biddell and found nothing what-so-ever indicating that he's even attempting to start another line. What a complete and total waste. Just imagine how much further Lucian could have gotten already had he won the prize that he very much deserved.

I know who came out the real winner from this show, and it was certainly not Biddell.

I loved Lucians work, loved with a huge "L". It was fresh, romantic, fun, and spot on trend for spring. Florals and lots of colour are all the rage. Lucians website is great, I cant wait to see how he grows.

I alos looked for Biddell, nothing on the web...nothing! I did see him in the shoppers drugmart on Davie st in Vancouver at 1 am looking at fashion mags, god...100k and you are hitting the shoppers in Vancouver. Rock on Biddell, try the drugstore in yaletown it is nicer.

Hey Biddell...kind of sucks that a lot people are so hard on you for your victory. But it goes to show that making the same outfit ten times in a row doesn't cut it (not that I didn't find Lucian's work incredible, just kind of repetitive).

But congratulations on the win! And come visit Toronto occasionally, will you? We could use someone awesome like you here.

your collection was definetly strong and I would have agreed to give it to you up until that moment where Iman was reading out the final result and you put your face right up next to lucian, closer and closer...it was a total highschool bullying move and SO disrespectful of the focus and groundedness his was trying to have in the final moment. It was so unpleasant to watch your own vunerability masked in trying to get up on someone else in that way.... may your journey be one humility and graciousness towards others. Relax and allow yourself to be kind...as rita said "we need more of that in the world". Peace.Respect.Creativity.

Congratulations Biddell. I did think it was a very close vote and it could have gone either way. You are both extremely talented and my hope for you is that the money and opportunity is something you will grab and run with.
Regarding Rita, she's a somebody, don't piss all over her. You might need her someday. And Iman...no one tells Iman what to do.

Awesome show, grats to everyone! Early morning cartoons as inspiration was HILARIOUS! Finally, someone in fashion with a sense of humour, even if a little immature... QUESTION - what was the song and artist that Biddell chose for his set?!? It was fantastic, and set the collection off well!

From what we've been able to see on TV, Biddell is the person you would love to hate, but you just have to love him anyway. Where is your fan club? I am your fan club, all of us Leo's need one! I am aspiring to be a fashion designer as well, congrats on the success of the show! See you around the fashion circuit in a few years.

Congrats Biddell. You rock. Obviously Iman loved you or was afraid of you but she voted you in because you're young and you know the S*** or something. Lucien is fabulous but too old world and European. And MG is also fabulous but too French and geeky(?). I thought her collection was wicked, truly wicked. But man, Biddell, you painted yourself to be a lazy s.o.b. Are you really that way? I'm proud of you though being also a Westcoaster/Newfie, (anyways a Canadian). Good job. Project Runway Canada was sooo entertaining. Finally some awesome international television representing Canadian artists. We need more!!!

Your collection inspiration was perfect, we were picking out our favourite cartoon characters as your models walked down the runway. We loved every piece, it was so inovative and fun.

Congrats to Biddell. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to watch every episode, but I was pleased to see the finale and impressed to see who won. I hope Biddell that you take full advantage of this opportunity and spend the money wisely. You got a lot of haters, so you need to prove them all wrong!!! There was a lot of good designs but you went outside the box and showed that fashion can be fun and not so intense! sheesh :)

I laughed when you thought it was no big deal to make 2 coats, 2 dresses, and 1 skirt in 2 days...you work so much like me and my design partner...we also have the ability to pump out fantastic fun edgy fashion in no time at all...perhaps we'll meet, my partner is the redheaded chick who'll be smoking pot before and after our show(s)...and we'll have the after party(drunk fest) back at the workshop, you and your peeps are invited!

I was really intrigued at the start of PRC to watch emerging Canadian talent as I have worked in the industry for close to 20 years. I was so proud to see all these Canadian designers putting heart and soul into their designs.

That being said, I quickly grew bored with Evan's "rebel attitude". His attitude was laughable and he lost credibility very quickly. Age has nothing to do with maturity, in the same way that talent is not dependent on experience. Sadly, Evan Biddell's talent will probably be lost in his inability to act like an adult.

Do us all proud by working like you understand this huge gift that you have been handed or you will be eaten alive. Now your real work begins.

soooo i've been watching PR Canada from all the way down in Florida (and in Saint Louis while I was in school). I started off not caring about you... but then it was amazing. Over and over. I loved your resort outfit. Both of them. The dress was AMAZING, and your outfit was so hot. I would fall in love with any guy wearing that hoodie and shorts. Then your collection... AMAZING. hands-f*cking-down winner. I HATED Lucians (though I love the clothes on his website). MG was my favourite designer till I saw your final collection. PLEASE MAKE CLOTHES. I want to buy them.

Can somebody tell me how Biddel's collection was innovative and "fresh"? Dresses with hoodies and the old stuff he has done? It looked a great deal like Baby phat in my opinion and the last dress it was the blue copy of the purple one. I felt during the competition he copied a lot from his competitors. Fist the purple dress inspired by Megan's dress (the same color and shape) with influences of Shernet and Lucian's complicated style. Then the bradding from Lucian's dress. And then he has in one of his sketches a dress which looked like Stephan's umbrella dress. And always got away with it. I personally did not see anything new. Please enlighten me and I'm really open for discussions. This is not a monologue, hopefully.

I respected Biddel's designs throughout the show, but his collection for loreal wasn't his best. There were some that were amazing, then there were other designs that were just mediocre and have been done by others.
Also, it seemed as though the show was partially fabricated. Afterall, it is tv and reality show is really never truly 'reality.' But, some parts of the show seemed too obvious (especially MG and Biddel's shirts..easily foreshadowed the winner..)

Congratulations on your win. I loved your designs and I'm happy you won. You are always courageous and you remeber fashion is supposed to be fun and not too serious. You are the antidote to the boring fashion establishment here in Canada, you are the role model for anyone of us who had to hear "I like your designs but they are too adventurous for Canada" form anyone. You are the hero for all of us who have ever been stonewalled by the fashion establishment! You speak for those of us who don't design for middle aged society matrons and women who wear pretty dresses to the country club.

I posted this elsewhere on the web and I'm quoting myself: "The entire show encapsulated what's wrong with Canadian fashion, and judge Rita personified the prissy, very serious, old fashioned, "I like it but it's too adventurous for this country" conservative attitude of the powers that be in Canadian fashion. She was far too serious and she seemed to forget that fashion is supposed to be fun and playful. Lucien makes the kind of dresses much of the Canadian fashion press loves, very serious, very pretty, very safe. And ultimately, quite boring. This is not to say they aren't beautiful, they are--but they tend to look matronly; not young and hip. There's very little young and hip in mainstream Canadian fashion. This idea that we as Canadians can't handle avant garde and courageous artistic fashion must be dropped if Canada is ever to become a player on the world fashion stage. Canada needs more Bidells and fewer Luciens and Ritas. Bidell represents everyone who has even been stonewalled by these close minded people. More power to the Bidells of Canada! He thumbed his nose at established Canadian fashion and won for his sense of adventure. And anyone inspired by something as wonky as 1990's cartoons is automatically cool in my books. I don't mind his arrogance, in the world of fashion you need that, especially when you are swimming against the tide."

Congratulations again, Bidell! I hope we see more from you.

Congratulations Biddell!! I hope you do really well, and can subvert the corporate beast to stay firm on your promises to use eco-friendly materials and practices. I began appreciating you so much when you seemed to really, really be driven by the AIDS charity challenge, by the way... even though you were a little sN***py to some of the other contestants :)

I LOVED your collection. I also adored Lucian's collection (and MG's, though I thought she did better work during the previous challenges). All in all it was a fantastic final 3 and I hope you all go on to do amazing things.

I died for that green thing (I don't know what to call it technically) you made (even though I'd never wear it, haha), and especially your hooded dresses. I hope you take Iman's advice to not believe your own hype (not to say that you're arrogant -- but sometimes believing in one's personal mythology can become creatively crippling), stay grounded ... and be happy.

Huge fan of Biddell right from the start. Also really enjoyed Kendra, Carly and Megan just because of their love of fashion.

whatever else you wanna say, I looked at all the shots of the designers' creations on the site and Biddell's clothes are the only ones that I can consistently look at and think, 'yeah, man, I could rock that outfit.' He says he likes working with women's bodies and as the inhabitant of a woman's body I appreciate the way he plays with our shape. Sexy, powerful, playful, intelligent and limit-pushing design. Plus he's from my old home town - Toon Town. Rock on, man.

I've just checked out Lucien's website. His work is way to derivitive. I thought I was looking at Dior or Gauthier maybe Lagerfeld on a bad day. Lucien is old school/old world. Evan really has something new to say and I look forward to seeing more from him. The fact that he made half of his runway show during the last four days of PRC just shows how he works creatively. He was actually enjoying the process.

Ok Biddell, don't listen to people who are saying the show was "fixed". It's soooo not true. You pulled off a great show that was imaginative. I was originally rooting for MG, but the fact you won didn't make me upset. For all those people who say you're going to be foolish, well, maybe you are! My 13-year-old daughter and I have been following PRC every week. She is an aspiring designer and has been hugely inspired by all of the contestants. We admit to be being huge Kendra fans and were sorry for her early exit. As well, we saw Shernet's work at the One-of-a-Kind show in Toronto and were totally blown away by her creativity and craftmanship.
We watched the final program with great anticipation. My daughter loves M-G's work and was disappointed that it didn't quite "measure up" to her previous standards. Lucian's collection made us both sick. What woman would ever be inspired to wear anything that even remotely approximated that? Trend-setting??-- I think (and fervently hope) not.
Biddell offered the only collection that inspired the audience (hint: listen to the sound track). Yes, he is undisciplined and yes and he may blow the money...but this is reality TV folks... that is often the outcome. Hopefully, he does not and that some day we are all proud as Canadians (in the not too distant future) to wear genuine "Biddell" designs. Congratuations, Evan.

Biddell, Congratulations. At first I thought you were a jerk through and through. As the show went on I realized that you were insecure about being self taught. So you put on the big arrogant front. You are talented and a very quick learner -you were able to learn and use skills from some other contestants quickly.I think that somehow winning has made you feel humble and scared enough to really go out and show the world you deserved it. I hope you will really clean up your garbage mouth (as you said you would.)

Biddell,

Congratulations for winning the show! I have to admit: I wasn't rooting for you, not because you are not talented, but because I saw you as arrogant. However, I liked how you changed your attitude in the final episode (and I liked the side of you which was revealed when you were among your friends). It's OK to be nice! People actually prefer it this way :)

Keep being nice, keep up the good work (and get used to the discipline ;) and use your money wisely!

Your collection was fabulous. Your style was utterly inspired. You may be a brilliant creative ADD guy...someone who cannot prepare (I have ADD and I can't either) but who, under pressure, can deliver, because you've got the right stuff in your head. In fact, having a hot deadline is what juices you...I get that fact, even if most people don't.

No matter how much time you had or money to spend, the most important hours for you were the last few: that's when your brain kicked into high gear. I get it totally. That is not LAZINESS. It is ADD.

And in spite of your toughness, I get this: the strong and rather sweet spirit underneath your bluster cannot be disguised for long. Found ya out!

So, congratulations, man! Your collection knocked me out totally. Most of your work has been distinctive and amazing on this show, and you evidently can't produce anything that is un-true to who you are as a designer. You are the real thing! Best of luck to an amazing designer.

My only critique of you? Become more culturally literate. I'm self-taught too but I absorb everything that I can about the world that intrigues me, because I can't stand to be ignorant. Enrich your knowledge base! Hone your intelligence! Be unafraid of becoming like everybody else--you couldn't possibly accomplish that! Go forward and educate yourself without fear. (Doesn't mean college. That would be ungodly boring. Means be an open ear, an open mind, travel, look at everything.) Do it ALL.

Dear Biddell,

I know you're smart enough not to be paying attention to the h4trs.

I wrote to MG,and now I'm writing to you too : ). I for one knew from the beginning you'd be at L'Oreal. Ever since MG was allowed to come back to the competition, I rooted for her, but I wanted to see you there only because you are really an amazing, edgy designer.

No one wanted you to win because of your(heavily edited) childish nature on camera, but I know better. Personality has nothing to do with who can crank out a good outfit and who sucks. You have cranked out a good outfit every.single.episode. So I really applaud you.

I thought that Lucien would win the show, but I wasn't that impressed with his collection(it just wasn't really my cup of tea...). As soon as I saw yours, though, I knew you'd take the gold. I was sad for MG, but your collection was edgy and completely amazing. You are a talented designer and I hope you will go very far. You remind me a lot of Jay McCarrol.

Take care,

-Liza

seriously, seriously...i can't believe this, all these comments.
biddell's collection was amazing, yes it pissed me off that he was finishing off pieces and didn't seem to work as hard as lucian to the viewers - but who cares NOT EVERYONE WORKS THE SAME. biddell obviously is a last minute kind of guy, he THRIVES off of pressure and i know so many people like this. for some people this is where the best of their work comes out.

the truth is lucian is good, but canada needs a fashion designer who's innovative and can represent us, not someone who has a more european flair for fashion - we're not trying to pretend we're something else. i enjoyed the fact that biddell used "fabric" from his family past - it's him, it's his past - IT'S HIS CANADIAN EXPERIENCE and frig biddell is talented, the layering/braiding tech. LUV IT! hooded dresses - LUV IT (pls. don't compare it with baby phat i mean honestly - can't even put them in the same category)

for the record, the crying - lame, the sucking up - lame i feel biddell on all those aspects, but hey once again that's how some people are and i can't hate because lucian probably did feel like that - he was excited about the project and idea of iman/project runway.

mg - sad that she got blindsighted in her collection, love some of her stuff too.

rita - lame, i mean bad loser, her blog, RITA - ACCEPT IT, he's going to be working with you and if you can't show your support or give him the benefit of doubt, how can biddell grow. i agree with an earlier post, canada fashion - traditional old school, serious. not what canada needs to break out and actually make a name for itself.

overall, lucian was not robbed, he'll end up doing something, he got amazing coverage and press. but biddell - he's someone i can stand behind and someone who was perfect to win a project runway CANADA competition even though he's a bit sketchy with the completion of his collection. it was his first time. get over it and i strongly recommend all those haters to watch old seasons of project runway so they can learn or pick up an actual fashion magazine!

biddell - AMAZING LUV IT! just keep the rudeness/C***yness down (even though i realize that's you) but you shouldn't need people to put you in your place - (e.g.stephen,kendra), you should realize for yourself. you have talent and people can't deny it so you don't need to be a jerk. no offense. can't wait to see what you do!!!

don't hate - congratulate

Congratulations Biddell!!! Your collection was so inspiring. You gave people hope to follow their dreams. Anything is possible and you made it possible. One thing though you know you have the talent but don't just depend on it. Watching the PRC show disappointed me for your actions. I know you could have 5x better if you had planned your collection from day one. Everyone knows you have it but please don't just take it for granted. Take the price wisely.

Couple of things I mostly love about your designs are the hooded wear and the intricate textures, because I'm all about wearing hooded garments. Hands on! I would love to meet you someday. I love fashion too but don't have the guts to pursue it. It is only part of my hobby. Thank you for your mad inspiration.

P.S. I think you're soooo sexy. :)

I have to admit that at first (and for a while) I didn't like your character and I really hated that you designed so well to boot. However, in this episode I got to see a side of you I never saw; a vulnerable person...a real person. I found it increasingly difficult to dislike you as the episode went on. You're a funny guy and at times sweet...and what's great is that you don't take S*** from nobody! (very awesome...few can do that) What's most important is that your designs were faboulous, just like a breath of fresh air after the first two. Can you imagine how crazy it would've been if you had put more time into it??? You would've given everyone heart attacks with the shock! Iman was right; you are a TRUE visionary and I can't wait to see what you bring to the table. You deserved to win. Bask in the glory, Bitch!

I was shocked that Biddell won. His clothes were ok but if only for the fact that Lucian made all that effort and worked so hard, he deserved to take home the prize.

Afterall, wasn't the whole idea of giving the winner $100,000 to encourage an already driven designer?????

I thought Lucian deserved to win!

I hope Biddell doesn't read these comments. lol.

Congrats Biddell, you were amazing on the show. i loved that you were C***y (but not in an annoying way, unlike some others), especially when you had the goods to show at the end of the day. it was a brilliant collection. spend the money however you want to: if it's to buy pot to smoke, so be it ;)

Lucian is incredibly talented. He is a fashion virtuoso. But his designs, however "optimistic," beautiful, and well tailored, were quite boring. Boring can be beautiful. But it's been done.

Bidell's work, in contrast, is quite erratic, but I think that's what makes his work interesting. Congrats to Bidell, your line rocked, and your final dress was to die for.

The three finalists each had something unique about themselves and it showed in their style, so naturally, somebody is going to be upset no matter who won.

Had Lucian won there would have been so many people commenting his blog talking about how MG should have one or, Biddell. 2/3 of the finalists lost, 2/3 of the fans are upset. Get over it.

I am a huge fan of Biddell's stuff, and I thought what he did was totally creative...honestly, who would have come up with that? So just stop making excuses and accept it. He won. And I personally think that he really deserved it.

Congratulations Biddell. :)

Oh please, Lucian was not robbed. Lucian got 2nd for a good reason and he will grow even more because of it.

Look for the positives, not the negatives. He will learn and grow so much by getting this far, he and you could use a little humility. Lucian is very successful and will be do very well.

MG was such a gracious lady, she got it, she has learned a lot and is a very talented artist. You Go Girl! I look forward to seeing your name in lights.

I loved this show. It was great fun and I thought Iman was amazing! Brian Bailey, I am an even bigger fan than I was, getting to know you through this show. Brian is a class act!

What a great team. It came down to Iman to make the decision... thank god! I believe she made the right choice. She could see Evan hs a god given talent and this money and opportunity will help him grow.

Rita clearly did not like Evan. I thought her commetns to Lucian were very beautiful and that was a gift to him.

All 3 finalizst were great but to me... as a 50 something lady, the sheer genius of this young man was quite clear. Biddell is great and will do good things. He is moved by all the right things. Good on you Biddell!

They will all do well.

I am looking forward to year 2! I hope Iman comes back. It was great to get to know her too!

Thank you!

wow all you people who are saying that he didn't deserve it or that the show was fixed is sadly mistaken. From the get go, Biddell had an amazing sense of fashion and style. He's self taught and has an insane talent. All the judges recognised his talent. it was well won. Biddell brings a new style to the fashion industry. Which is what it needs, something fresh and new. Not a bunch of "remakes" and or things that resemble other high-end designers. So to Biddell, i wish him all the luck in the world!

Woot Woot Biddell!!

Absolutely ridiculous!!! Biddell's collection was done at the last minute and it showed!!! His immature attitude soured me on him and his questionable designs. Lucian was soooo robbed. But, in the end, it will be Lucian we see more of, not Biddell.

To be honnest, I only saw the last episode of PRC !! You don't have to go to school to succeed. You just have to be inspired and grab the opportunity...and have talent. I believe that the best things in the world are born from crazy ideas created in an unexpected moment(reference to your green creation in your final collection..!)
I read somewhere that your beginnings in design was to create original clothing for raves...I did the same, so I find myself in your creation ! Keep going, I'll keep in touch with your name 'cause I wanna own some of your designs someday !

I really liked Biddell's line. But I really hated his rude attitude. I don't know who the hell he thinks he is treating people that way. When he called Stephen a bitch, I wanted to punch him in the face.
I like the clothing he made for the final runway show, but his attitude left bad impression on me.
Oh well, c'est la vie!

Biddell!!!! Your collection was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. I've never seen anything like it. It was new crisp and totally you. I loved the colors that you used, so hot. You know, I never noticed it, but you really did have a chance at winning. Your designs were quite stunning from the start. Your attitude just blew me off the road. But hey, you won and I congratulate you. Can't wait to see what you do next.
BTW, I like the hair. ;)

There is no doubt Lucian is a great designer - I enjoyed his L'Oreal Fashion Week collection as well as most of his dresses made over the PRC competition. However, his ability to create the resort wear really doubt me of his ability to design anything outside his comfort zone. Yes, we all know that Biddell designed an interesting outfit for himself, but at least he was willing to take risk. For Lucian, he designed something for himself and his model which totally missed the mark. I enjoyed Biddell's L'Oreal collection as it is very vibrant and creative - you get to see more colour and style than Lucian's collection. While I have Lucian will become a great designer, I think Biddell deserved to win season one of PRC due to his creativity, risk and overall presentation over the weeks. Cheers.

Yes you can say that again that Lucien should of been the winner. Not only on collection but also in organization. Biddell was so disorganized till right before the fashion show. Come on judges it was a truly let down and disappointment on your part.

Greatly disappointted

Point BLANK..BIDELL is the WINNER!
I love your original style. Was rooting for you from the beginning and your collection was the BEST without a doubt.

Lucians work is exquisite, but more for a red carpet event. WHat person is actually gonna wear clothes like that on a daily basis, whereas Biddell's is fresh and hip .
Lucian lost me with his arrogance.

Looking forward to someday soon wearing a BIDDELL original...

BIDELL-imitated but never duplicated!

Everybody's being a sore loser...and they weren't even ion the competition! Kudos to you Biddel, your collection was flavorful and creative.I loved the cartoon inspiration. MG and Lucian were awesome competitors. Each of your collections were unique and brought out your personal taste and style. I can never get bored with Biddels clothes, I feel there is loads he could accomplish(no pressure).

Congrats Biddell . Well deserved and honestly earned .
Fellow bloggers , what is so unhappy in your lives to be so vicious towards someone you don't even know ? If you didn't like his collection or disagree with his win shake your head and be done with it . Personal attacks are just so sad and reflect something wrong with you , not Evan .
Back to Biddell , Way to go man !

biddell: im soo stoked that u won! congrats . i cant wait to see more from u!great collection!

MG: loved it though some outfits could use a little improvement. But nobody's perfect.

Well done, Biddell! You often rubbed me the wrong way with your attitude during the show but your sense of design and style was always on. I consistently loved your designs and your final runway show was brill. Can't believe you pulled it off in such a short time - that is a testament to your creativity and drive. Your clothes exude confidence and energy just like you do and I look forward to seeing more from you in the future!!

I'd wear your stuff in a hearbeat. I would suggest that people who don't 'get it' have obviously never been to an underground nightclub, rocked out a dive bar, or tore up a house party. Your clothes make sense to me. Beautiful colours, details, fit. If I ever get rich, I'm commissioning you!

Oh yeah, thanks for the DFA 1979- perfect!

I must say the whole show was immaculately constructed to portrait Biddell as a winner from the first episode on. ( I think it shows more clearly, when all the episodes are watched closer together, as I have done.)

I also must say, that from the first episode on I did love Biddells clothes the most. It was fresh, and new, and edgy, and hands down - the best. I also loved the attitude - he only likes to make clothes to make people look good. It is, in the end, just clothing.

Anyway, congrats to Biddell, and hope to see some of your clothes in Europe someday too!

Like many others who have posted, I am worried that Biddell IS NOT going to use the chances, nor the money, that he has been given to better himself OR to add anything to Canadian Fashion. When he said to Rita, "You'll never know what kind of designer I am" (or "I'll be", I forget which it was), I took it to mean that he would just always be all over the place, "spewing" out different ideas about clothing, but never coming up with one label that would be singularly and uniquely "Biddell". For a first collection, yes, his was brilliant; but as far as cohesiveness was concerned [even after that obviously last minute and ridiculous attempt to connect his models/clothing], well, there simply was none, and I truly worry about that.

Do I hope I am wrong? Yes, very much so, especially since when asked if they had any idea about the "business end" of things, by Iman and Brian, both MG and Biddell said, "No way and we aren’t even interested!" Lucian at least has the sense to see that in the phrase "FASHION BUSINESS", the second word is BUSINESS! Without any idea of how things run, or even who you would bring in as your trusted partner to run them, how can you possibly hope to use that $100,000 properly? Great, he doesn't want to use child labour. Well, who said you had to? Somehow I can't see either of the others, MG or Lucien, cracking the whip over those poor, broken, bleeding bodies either!

Biddell: you are 24 years old - you are NOT a child, as much as you would seem to like the idea of going back to that state! And in some ways I don't blame you: having a mom and dad who feed you and keep a roof over your head for free is a pretty good, safe and secure deal - that's why so many adult kids move home! BUT you are 24 and you need to "man-up" and behave like an adult with the money, the photo shoot AND MOST ESPECIALLY with Winners. You were rude and snide to people all over the place, not just Rita or Lucien, and in the REAL business world, that sort of behaviour just won't cut it, no matter HOW talented you are. Honestly, it just won't: they will kick you to the curb, B! I'm NOT a Biddell hater and I'm NOT trying to be mean - far from it - I just hope that you read this and make a New Year's Resolution to mend your childish and immature ways when dealing with the "BUSINESS" end of Fashion and you will do much better AND last much longer: people who have been in this business for longer years than you have been alive simply won't put up with the lack of attention to deadlines, details and common courtesy. IT ISN'T ALL ABOUT YOU, and talented though you may be, I just hope you find that out before you have alienated everyone you must work with, and it's too late to go back and pick up the pieces.

I wish you all the luck in the world Biddell: your talent certainly DESERVES it, but I'm afraid your personality absolutely NEEDS it.

The best person won. As much as I was rooting for Lucian since day 1 and his collection was stellar, Biddell's had that X factor and his genius is not learned, but natural. 3 final collections that blow every Project Runway America final collection out of the water. Jay McCarroll, Chloe Dao and jeffrey Sebelia wish they had half the creativity and skills of out final 3. YAY CANADA!!!!

Just got done watching Project Runway Canada. As A viewer of Project Runway here in the U.S. I must say that I am amazed by the talent of the designers. Biddell, I must say BRAVO! I am looking forward to seeing what you are going to present and hopefully will have the chance to see a collection of yours here in the U.S.

If Runway is about connecting more people to understanding the role of fashion as art people like Evan made it rock. He showed how clothing can be inspiring, fun and have a social and eco purpose.Hats off to a visionary like Imam who understood the immense talent that Biddell has and refused to be cowed by the fashion elite.

I thought some of your pieces were fantastic, to be honest.
Your dresses were constructed flawlessly, which shows why you won so many times.
But I do not think you deserved to win in that fashion show, next to MG & Lucian.
Your designs were lazy, and even though they were suppose to have "individual" characters, there was not any cohesion involved. You did not know what you were doing, albeit you are an amateur next to the other two, but you did not use your time wisely. I think the judges made a mistake, and if you acted like that for one of the more important fashion shows in your career, well I would hate to see you work on your other fashion shows, that don't mean as much.

Project Runway is "THE" very best show out there. I could not contain my excitement when I heard there was to be a Canadian version. Because I work late every Monday night, I would get into my jammies, make a cup of tea and settle in to watch the 1:00 am showing. I was not disappointed. I craved more ... more ... MORE. Often I watched it Saturday and Sunday as well. Now, knowing the outcome, I'm watching the series again, but with a more critical eye.
While there were specific designs I admired along the way, I have to say MG's, Lucien's and Biddell's consistently drew me in. I experienced disbelief when MG was cut, then euphoria when she returned!!!
Like you Biddell, I too am a Leo (Aug 7th). I totally get you. Your innate confidence, your "LOOK AT Me" "LOOK WHAT I CAN DO" attitude, it's very familiar. You're young. You'll screw up, probably more than once. That's OK. Apologies aren't easy with a lion's pride. It's not a criticism, just an observation.
I'm excited for you. I'm anxiously waiting to see what you produce. Your youth, your talent, your insight, all of it will be apparent in your designs.
Congratulations Biddell!
Oh, any chance you'll throw in a few pieces for the Grandma generation? Please :)

Cartoon inspiration!!! Oh, please? Such childish behaviour and arrogance! For the work Bidell put into such an amazing oportunity, I am shocked the judges saw something there. Personally, I was so captivated by Lucian's collections that I could not see anything there worth noticing. Iman was true to herself, certainly has a faible for rebels and we all have seen the looks between them during the show.

Lucian was a good loser, Bidell was not a good winner.

Biddell is great, however, I hope he's matured a bit and stopped constantly swearing.
Swearing is a sign of not only immaturity but also ignorance. It shows an inability to find an appropriate word of expression without offense.

Hi, Biddell,
I hope you are still checking the blog.
I really, really believe that you are the best!!! You totally rock!!! Those people who put you down don't recognize talent when they see it and are simply trying to fill their own inadequacies by pointing out what they want to perceive as inadequacies in others. Sad.
I live in Vancouver and would be honored if I could meet you. I saw you once on Davie but you were with friends and did not want to be a bother. (Of course, I still feel really bad that I did not get to say hello.) I think you're an awesome artist and a stunning person. You are f***kin' HOT!!!
Please let me buy you a drink or, even better, dinner! PLEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAASE!!!!
Is there any way to contact you other than through here?
Thanks, Biddell!!!
With love,

While I find your designs amazing your attitude protrayed on T.V was vile at the best of times! You have alot of maturing to do...if it all was a guise to not feel like the fat kid well it's still possiable to get back at the losers that made fun of you with humility! I am waiting to see the final collections for my final thought on your work, but it does suck that you sat around all summer while the others worked really hard, but I guess working under pressure works for you i'm not sure you should be rewarded for that!! The jury is still out!

Congrats Biddell! <3
I've watched project runway canadra from the very start, and I'm very happy that you won it. I'm 17 years old, and it rocked to see that someone as young as you, could amaze people with your raw talent.
P.S. I loved that purple dress you made for the "hope" fundraiser, it was amazing. <3

Congratulations! Been rooting for you throughout the whole show. I love that you have your own unique style and you don't give a sh*t about what others think. Good qualities in a designer, I know I'd certainly buy your clothing at the drop of a dime. Hope to see more of you in the fashion world soon!

Hey Biddell!!
Congrats not only on your PRC win, but on your showing at the L'Oreal Fashion week in March! Beautiful stuff as always!!
I was wondering if you could let me know the name of the song you used for the runway finale of PRC? It was great and really suited your collection. It's obvious everything goes into your vision and fasion aesthetic.

Congrats Biddell! You were my favourite from the start. You have such a unique sense of style and such an amazing vision that the fashion industry needed you. When I saw your collection I actually saw items that I would wear on a regular basis. You rocked it and I will always be Addicted to Biddell!

Cheers!

Biddell, it was you that made me start watching PRC -- otherwise, I would have kept surfing. Your collection was super, and I love that your plus-size swimsuit was the best -- as a plus-size girl, it's nice to know there are some wonderful designers out there who understand us! Be the creative and warm-hearted Biddell that you obviously are, and you'll go far. Congratulations on your richly-deserved win.

Don't ususally add to blogs, but just had to tell you that I was rooting for you all the way. I'm from Saskatoon originally too and glad to see the west represented & WIN!!!! Congradulations!!! Hope to see some plus size designs from you. Great show - PRC and Great fashion line up Biddell!!! Loved the innovative ways you used the different ojects (umbrellas and jeans). I do some "recycled items" and you have inspired me. Best of luck from some one old enough to be your mother, young enough to dream!!!

Congratulations to you...although I am not a designer, nor involved in the industry, I think you have done a great job...I may not know designs but I know what I like, and as Iman pointed out, your designs are futuristic and completely new and exciting!

You are extraordinary, but "fantasizing about fabric" instead of being present with the fabric will not help you grow as the awesome designer you can become.

OMG..who would believe a 'PRO' fashion designer would evolve from the FERNIE'S Farmer's Market???

EVAN, I am sooooooooo proud of you - WAY TO GO, kid! Your humble roots prove you are true to the trade of style and fashion. That light of yours is SO DARN BRIGHT - How could it not light the way to success - UNSTOPPABLE!!! I still wear those crazy chinese umbrella shorts; People can't help but comment on them still. Before you won this amazing contest, I would say, "Oh, they're a custom built original from my designer, Biddell". Maybe I'll frame 'em now. Ha.

I'm a teacher now, and I use your story in my classroom when persuading students to realize you can be successful with anything you have close to your heart.

PEACE & LOVE,

I loved your designs, unfortunately, your attitude will keep me from ever buying anything of yours. Please try to learn some manners, as obviously by your nasty mouth, your mother forgot to teach you any.

P.S. Your poor self esteem really shined through on the show. You may have fooled some people, but you certainly didn't fool them all.

Will NEVER buy your clothes
Sunday, 12 October 2008 19:47 PM EST
Big believer in substance over manners. 'Will NEVER buy your clothes' is breaking Biddels heart I am sure. What Biddell ca do with those freaking pleats in a just a few minutes was kicking everyone's ass. My favorite was the self-modeled beachwear. You could have driven a truck through the judges open mouths when that number hit the runway. I was torn between uncontroled laughter or vomiting when Lucians doilie crap hit the stage. Manners? Self esteem? I'll take the raw talent and gonads anyday.

Your clothes look like something that fell out of a trashcan of an Indian restaurant in Soho and you're a truly unlikeable guy. Have fun with the $100K and why not spend some of it on a community college degree like plumbing or funeral home management.

Orville the Fashion Redneck

Orville doesn't get out of the trailer park much these days, and he needs a better hobby than diving restaraunt dumpsters on weekends. Evan is not spending months on end knitting doilies with his 'mummy', but the man can crank some quality clothing using imagination. And say, Orville, what you got against plumbers and embalmers anyway.

Hey Evan Maela says hi! and congradulations, we watched every episode when she was in the hospital. You would'nt believe how well she's doing now, it wont be long before she's walking again. She also asked me to tell you to text her, she would love to hear from you

Congratulations! Thank you for being so innovative, and free spirited. The fact that you are self taught amazes me. You are a rarity...you add something to the world no one else has. Thanks for making me proud to be Canadian, and inspiring me as a visual artist. Bidell I like the fact that this is a journey for you..that you are not stuck. Bidell you question things and I hope you always hold that. Once again thanks man.
