Andrew Galloway

Andrew Galloway, a Toronto-based Substance Abuse and Behavioural Health Specialist, is an International Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (ICADC). His practice includes interventions, assessments, counseling and referral. Outside of his practice he is a consulting counselor for the National Hockey League, and National Hockey League Players Association Substance Abuse and Behavioural Health Program. Andrew has won numerous awards including the Award for Academic Excellence following the completion of his Addiction Studies at McMaster University; the Transforming Lives Award from The Centre of Addiction and Mental Health; and The Harold A.D. Roberts Circle for his work speaking in schools about addiction. Andrew has been in recovery himself for over a decade. He lectures to psychology students at the University of Toronto and the University of Waterloo and is the father of two young boys.

Maureen Brine

Maureen Brine

Maureen Brine is a well-known and respected Toronto based Psychotherapist, Addictions Counsellor, Interventionist, Consultant and educator. She is an Imago Relationship Therapist who works with couples in recovery and has been in successful private practice since 1985 in both Vancouver and Toronto. With over 35 years of experience in the addictions field, Maureen played an instrumental role in the intervention movement in Canada. A former Director of the Donwood Institute Treatment Centre in Toronto, Maureen is certified as an Alcohol and Drug Counsellor (Canadian Certification C.A.D.C.) and as an International Alcohol and Drug Counsellor (I.C.A.D.C.). In addition to her work in addictions, she is currently launching an Imago Workshop called “Recovering Your Connection – a Getting the Love You Want Workshop for Recovering Couples,” and is writing a book on addictions and relational healing.

Joey is an Internationally Certified Level II Masters Interventionist and instructor and is a member in good standings with the National Association of Drug & Alcohol Interventionists. As a certified addictions specialist, he has worked with all levels of addiction and behavioral issues. Joey holds certifications in Conflict Resolution / Anger Management and Satir Systemic Transformational Family therapy. He provides ongoing support post-intervention to families through counseling, access to programs such as AL-ANON, NARANON, and identification of community services for continued aftercare in various communities. With his own experience in recovery, and after working at some of the most prominent drug rehabs in Canada as an addictions counselor and facilitator of process groups, Joey is now the CEO and lead interventionist of his own private practice, Global Interventions & Consulting. Based out of Vancouver, British Columbia, and servicing all of Canada and the US, the practice specializes in high profile cases where confidentiality is of the utmost importance. Joey trains interventionists and assists them in achieving international certifications.

Sue Donaldson RSW, CEC, BRI 1

Sue is an Addictions Counsellor, Board Certified Interventionist, Coach, Trainer and Consultant. As a counsellor in the public sector in addictions and mental health, and in private practice, Sue has led thousands of people down the road to recovery. She is the Founder and Director of Pegasus Recovery Solutions, an organization offering a spectrum of recovery focused services to individuals, families and organizations. Sue is highly regarded for her expertise and professionalism in the addictions treatment field across Canada and the US. Originally from Toronto, she resides with her family in Victoria, British Columbia.
