Multitasking shreds my brain into thousands of splinters. By 5 pm (or 6, or 7, or whenever I actually stop working), my mind is an endless cycle of unrelated things: tomorrow’s to-do list, tonight’s dinner, an outfit for an important meeting next week, the best gift for a friend’s birthday, whether The L Word’s Shane and Jenny are a good couple, and that embarrassing thing that happened in high school 10 years ago.
