Photos: Meeting Alexander Wang
Earlier this week, Holt Renfrew's Toronto Bloor Street location held a meet and greet with CFDA award-winning fashion designer Alexander Wang, in support of his Pre-Fall and Fall collections. I'm a huge fan of his work and I was beside myself over the possibility of meeting him!
Alexander Wang is known for his fun, impeccably tailored pieces and for reinventing basics into chic fashion treasures that are coveted by fashionistas globally. In his T by Alexander Wang line, he effortlessly turns traditional t-shirts, tank tops and dresses into stylish, edgy and sexy garments. Most recently, the designer expanded his brand to include footwear, eyewear and handbags. His cat eye sunglasses from earlier this year lead the pack for this popular Spring trend and it definitely helped to establish him as a design force to be reckoned with on multiple levels.
I caught up with Alexander Wang at the event and he was genuinely down-to-earth and extremely humble. We chatted briefly and I managed to get my picture taken with him (see it below!). Alexander Wang is definitely one of fashion's most visionary designers and I'm positive that he'll only continue to push the envelope with his fashion forward design genius.
