Slice on the Street: What's your biggest fashion faux pas?

You've been there, I've been there, who hasn't? Where am I talking? Down the runway towards a fashion faux pas!

Whether it was shoulder pads, stirrup pants, acid wash jeans, perms, bell bottoms or belly tops - there are many items of clothing that have been "in fashion" at one time or another, some have even come back in fashion! We may have thought it looked great at the time, but then there's that moment years later when you see an old photo and say to yourself: "what was I wearing?!"

I took to the streets to talk with others about their fashion past, confirming I am not alone in being a "fashion faux pas" victim. See the video below!

My worst faux pas wasn't clothes, it was a hairstyle. When I was around 13 I used to wear the 80s flip... which was basically one large curl all around the bottom of your hair. If it was uninterrupted, it was considered perfect. Can't even deal now when I think about it.

My biggest fashion faux pas (aside from all the fluorescent clothing I wore in the 80s) is probably sometimes wearing a white bra under a black top. Pretty boring, I know, but I do try to co-ordinate better these days!!

I know what you are getting at by bringing up the perm.... I do not take any of the blame for getting a perm (ok, maybe two..) when I was young. My mom said it would look great.... Looking back all I can remember is fighting with her because I never wanted to brush it!

Ash I hear ya - I had two perms as a kid, which were also home perms (the "Toni" perm). I remember having the leave-in conditioner spray to help with the tangles!

My sister however, reminded me of another fashion faux pas from my past - I had a cowboy outfit with fringe on the sweater and matching pants. I thought it was great at the time!

I always try to be cautious when wearing low rise pants and provocative undies. Seen pretty ugly snapshots of other people. Definetely wearing low rise jeans or pants and let your (Not-so-discreet-thongs or G-strings) show is a faux-pas.

When I was 10/11 I wore dark pink parachute pants with black polka dots & I had the top to match. I also had a tendency to pair a red top with lime green pants - the type that had the matching skirt that were attached (also around the same age as the parachute pants)
