Guilty Pleasures Month Giveaway

Well, it's hard to believe, but we are SATED of all our guilty pleasures. Boy, do we like our luxuries! Over the past month, we've shared our love of books, beauty procedures, pop songs, workout songs, shopping, gossip, and movies... just to name a few!

Guilty Movie Pleasures

Oh, movies! This is an absolute guilty pleasure. Aside from the box-office visits each month at what seems to be $150 a pop for a family of four (that's not counting second trips for coffee, more candy or other treats), watching a movie is a call to commune with my family and friends for two hours of escape.

Guilty Pleasures: Indulge Me

If there's one thing we can confirm about human nature, it's our willingness to dive head first into guilty pleasures. For in that moment, when you decide to take that plunge, all is right with the world.

Guilty Pleasures: Being Fashionably Late

Being fashionably late is a constant source of anxiety for many, so we thought it was time to discuss what is cool versus being jackass late. Because let’s admit it, for some of us it’s a guilty pleasure. From weddings to dating to job interviews, we cover it all. Buckle up, zip up, and straighten up as we discuss what to do and what not to do!

Top 10 Guilty Pleasure Workout Songs

Who the hell is sweatin' to the oldies anymore? When it comes to pumping iron and working on my fitness, I'm blasting some Top 40 pop hits and hip hop club bangers. And I don't care who knows it--except that actually I do, hence the "guilty" part of this article's title... Haha!

Top 10 Guilty Pleasure Pop Songs

Have you ever heard a song on the radio that you know you shouldn't like but just can't help it? My love of bad pop songs has been a personal shame that I've tried to keep hidden for years.

Ask an Expert: Harold Melvin's Guide to Guilty Pleasure Shopping

It's all about guilty pleasures this month, so I've prepared a list of my top luxury splurges. Once in a while, even the most budget conscious gal needs to loose control and treat herself with a shopping spree. I feel the best investments (when you don't have a boundless budget ) for the occasional spending spree are in shoes and accessories. These items keep you looking fresh, updated and powerful, while adding interest to your existing wardrobe. The trick to snapping up a lavish item without regret is to invest in top quality pieces that nod to a trend, but still have classic sensibility. Choosing wisely guarantees it will be an item you'll love to revisit season after season. So grab your wallets and lets indulge in one of the guiltiest pleasures of all--SHOPPING !!!!

Guilty Pleasures: No Price Too High for My Eyebrows!

My latest and greatest guilty pleasure is to pay $25 (plus tax & tip) to get my long and bushy eyebrows tweezed and trimmed to perfection! Now $25 may sound like a lot to dish out for one's brows, considering a bikini wax can cost less, but for this gal who has suffered through many eyebrow highs and lows in her lifetime, it is money well spent. (Plus where I go, if I buy 5 sessions for $100, it's really only $20 a pop instead!)

Guilty Wedding Pleasures

Champagne and truffles flown in from France, exquisite Swiss chocolate, or a serenade by a famous singer. What is your guilty pleasure?

Guilty Pleasures: All About The Glee Project, Yipee!

Everyone these days has his or her 15 seconds of fame, but The Glee Project takes 15 seconds of fame to a whole new level. By far one of the best creative competitions out there, is there really any wonder why Glee has become so popular? It’s a triple threat of talent. Not only do you have to sing your heart out, but you also must act and dance as if you were on Broadway.

Top 10 Guilty Pleasure Sites For Good Gossip

There's something about keeping up with celebrity gossip that makes a gal feel connected. And, there have even been studies that say gossip is good for you.

Guilty Pleasures: "Fat Things Should Not Happen to Skinny People"

The above quote was said by Stacy Barrett in the pilot of Drop Dead Diva and that was all it took to get me hooked. Drop Dead Diva is officially my new guilty pleasure, but not so much guilty and much more a pleasure. With Margaret Cho in the lineup of casts, you will not only laugh until your stomach hurts, but you will learn a good life lesson or two.

Guilty Pleasures: Tantrums, Diamonds, and Botox

The Vicious Little Bitches will appear on slice.ca throughout the month of August. Check back Tuesdays and Thursdays to read their blogs and visit them at viciouslittlebitches.blogspot.com. Whether we like to admit it or not, reality television is a guilty pleasure that we all indulge in. Anything goes when it comes to the Real Housewives of New Jersey. When diamonds really are your best friends, temper tantrums are as common as a cold, and botox is the new black? Well, ladies, there is no need to go any further except to join the party!

Guilty Pleasures: New Luxurious, Splurge-Worthy UGGs For Fall

So far on Guilty Pleasures month, we've heard from guest bloggers Vicious Little Bitches on their love of long weekends and drinking and contributor Scotch Mommy on over-doing it at discount stores. Today's post is all about splurging on luxury items -- specifically, splurging on the Australian footwear phenomenon that is UGGs.

Guilty Pleasures: Discount Stores

You might be wondering in what universe could shopping at dollar and discount stores be considered a guilty pleasure? I get what I need, I save money. That's fiscally responsible! Princess host Gail Vaz-Oxlade would be proud! When Hallowe'en or Christmas roll around, I know I'll be able to pick up costumes and decor items ridiculously cheap compared to paying full price.

Guilty Pleasures: Drinking & Long Weekends

The Vicious Little Bitches will appear on slice.ca throughout the month of August. Check back Tuesdays and Thursdays to read their blogs and visit them at viciouslittlebitches.blogspot.com. The summer brings out the need to enjoy a cold one. Whether we are cooling down from a “heat wave,” (more like Global Warming) or just like to drink, it seems that all of us enjoy an adult beverage to some degree.

Meet Our Two New Guest Bloggers for Guilty Pleasures Month!

Meghan Calverley and Jessica Hinkson are the Vicious Little Bitches, reporting from the "dirty, nasty, backstabbing" retail jungle. They're writing for slice.ca twice a week during our Guilty Pleasures month so enjoy... and welcome to Slice, girls!

What's your guilty pleasure?

The words "guilty pleasure" go so well together because they mean something we love to indulge in and pamper ourselves with. But what would the expression be if we took out the word "guilty"? Why should we feel guilty about pampering ourselves or indulging in something special once in a while? Maybe it's because so often, our guilty pleasures are things that are bad for us, or by their very nature, we can only indulge in once in a blue moon.
